The Alphabet Game

Hello! Thank you for meeting me here at your customized learning portal. I design individualized success strategies to support your learning process. I provide academic and learning supports across curricular lines and teach tactics and methods to align with student's inherent abilities, gifts and potentials. I am a seasoned educator with over twenty years of formal experience in the public school system and private sectors. I currently tutor student athletes at Rutgers University as a Learning Specialist In Language Arts, Social Sciences and Study Skills application and integration. One of my strongest talents as a teacher is my ability to intuit what the student needs at the point of learning and meet them where they are. I believe everyone is capable of learning anything they set their mind to, given the right tutelage and supports. How we work: We meet at an agreed upon time at a local library convenient for us both. I am located closest to the Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan on Symmes Road. Sessions are usually in one hour increments, but may be extended if needed. Sessions are typically held weekly for consistency, but this is flexible and discussed at the outset. I work one on one with you or in a group setting. One on one private tutoring is $75/hour. Groups are appropriate for families with multiple children or for students with same goals and objectives that prefer a group setting. For example, same grade students that want to strengthen their reading, writing, literacy, grammar and/or study skills may meet collectively for a group session. Study skills sessions are particularly helpful for high school and college bound students. All curricula is tailored to the needs of the individuals in the group. Sessions vary weekly. Group sessions with two people are $40/person, sessions with three people are $35/person, and sessions with four people are $30/person. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you!
