We hired Hammers Custom Carpentry to semi-finish our basement using FRP panels - we selected them from 2 other Thumbtack providers based on their experience and reasonable pricing. Installation required great precision to cut & install the panels around many obstacles (like pipes) in the walls. Harvey & Don's work showed craftsmanship, e.g. taking the extra time to trim out around windows and doors properly. They were also very friendly & professional, as they arrived on time every day and worked diligently. It's clear that Harvey wants to build a strong relationship with his customers by going the extra mile and I will absolutely contact them again.

Hired Harvey to remodel our small galley kitchen. He came in at the lowest price of all suppliers we contacted. He seemed inexperienced at kitchen remodeling, that inexperience led to shortcuts and mistakes that had a snowball effect throughout the process. We felt some of his work was rather sloppy and careless and he dragged out the timeline of the project - what should have taken less than 2 weeks took 4 weeks (some of that was our fault but he certainly underestimated every task and timeline). with all that said he was friendly, always on time/early, and beat our lowest price substantially. If you want perfection, or the job done quickly, he’s not for you. If you don’t mind putting in extra work yourself (proofing/protecting everything in your space to prevent damage, cleaning up after him, redoing some of his work) but paying less at the end of the day, then he is for you.
