About
Our company, unlike many others, is built upon a foundation of 'customer service.' What does this mean? Well in a nutshell, we treat your pricing and belongings as though we were moving ourselves. We try to keep the costs reasonable and affordable while simultaneously taking care not to damage anything along the way while still working quickly and efficiently. We keep the client's cost in mind. Whether helping the client to select the right services, or even how-to go about the move, we help keep the costs of moving as affordable and cost effective as possible. We wouldn't want to spend our life savings to move, so why should you? No one should have to dig into their kids' college funds or their retirement account to move. Dealing with clients and packing the trucks. We deal with a variety clients on a day to day basis. Oftentimes, they are clients who under no circumstances would be able to make the move happen on their own. That's where we come in. We treat each client like a friend or family. We make sure that at the end of the service, they are happy with every element of the move. As for packing, we often hear our clients say "Wow, you guys are great! It's like that game....you know, the one with the shapes!" All we can do is smile at that point. But they're right. Packing a truck efficiently is like a game of Tetris. And you need to do it right. Packing a truck incorrectly can lead to damage to the clients articles, which isn't good for either party. By packing efficiently, you not only save room, but you save time. Packing haphazardly only leads to having to repack, reorganize and possibly try to repair damages. Do it right the first time and you'll keep the client's, as well as your own, stress levels to a minimum.

Reggie and team were outstanding. I moved cross-country (more than 2,500 miles) for a new job and they handled essentially everything. Below are just a few key items that made my moving experience enjoyable: 1) All boxes were accounted for and intact upon delivery (i.e., no broken mirrors or glassware, no scratched furniture, etc.) 2) Pricing was accurate and up-front (no hidden fees, etc.). Various payment methods made it more convenient too. 3) Communication was always there and constant. Reggie answered all of my questions and took the time to explain to me the overall process. (Bonus: They notified me a few days prior to their arrival at final destination, so that I can make adequate arrangements beforehand.) 4) Friendly, courteous, and approachable demeanor. 5) Timeliness (always on time) and efficiency of pick-up and delivery. The crew was in and out and carried my items without damaging my furniture against walls or dropping boxes. Overall, Reggie and Movers-For-A-Cause have left a very positive impression on me. For these reasons, they come highly recommended. Should you need moving assistance (as I did) don’t risk it with our companies or pay extra — go with the pro’s at Movers-For-A-Cause.

Reggie and his crew did a great job with the move. Furniture was properly covered with moving blankets and no damage during transfer. They even did the impossible of getting a sofa bed upstairs around a turn, and through a small doorway entrance. Definitely recommend Movers-For-A-Cause for an overall awesome moving job.
Movers-For-A-Cause Moving Labor & Relocation's reply
Hi Rey, Aw come on..........there's no way we can accept all this credit. Ok, maybe we can but honestly thank you for being ready and so prepared for our arrival. Everything to be moved was exactly as you listed previously and that in itself makes our job so much easier (no last minute surprises!). Either way, surprises or no surprises, we came to get the job done and helping you get into your new home hassle free is our #1 goal, so I'm glad that we could not only complete that, but likely complete it in good fashion (and enjoying some laughs along the way). I hope you're enjoying your new pad! Thanks again for using our service! Reginald, Senior Moving Labor & Relocation Specialist

Reginald did a great job with our move from Bangor, PA to Chicago, IL. Reginald even took time to stop and meet with me on his way back from a job to discuss what I needed moved. He was very courteous and lived up to his profile of being “client-friendly” and “customer-focused.” He worked diligently to get my belongings into a truck already bound for the Midwest so the cost to me would be cheaper. On the day of the move, Reginald and his crew came on time and took great care with the packing of my belongings. Everything was wrapped with blankets and plastic. You could definitely tell they were experienced movers. On the day of delivery, Reginald had some truck problems and ended up arriving later than anticipated but this wasn’t an issue as they were very communicative on their timing. After arriving, he and one other gentleman got right to work. They were careful with my furniture and stacked boxes and furniture efficiently in my basement. Our stuff only took up about ¼ of the truck and they moved all of it in about an hour and a half. I would definitely recommend using Movers-For-A-Cause. They were courteous, efficient, and affordable. Thanks, Reginald! Amy & Nancy O.

I hired Reggie and his team for a local move. Reggie was very friendly and was down to earth about giving me a quote for the move. On the moving day, he disassembled and wrapped up my furniture with plenty of padding and shrink wrap while his other two teammates made quick work of all of the boxes and packing the truck. When we got to my new place Reggie provided suggestions about furniture placement and even moved the furniture around so that I could test out a few configurations. Reggie and the rest of the Movers-For-A-Cause team provided an ideal moving experience. They were very professional and friendly, nothing was broken during the move, and the final price that I ended up paying was within the estimated quote. I would definitely hire them again without a second thought.

I hired Reginald to move an expensive, large and HEAVY dining room set that I purchased from my neighbor that is moving. He quoted me a very reasonable number which Led me to believe that he had under-estimated the job. When he showed up with one other guy, I was certain they could never pull this off. When Reginald looked at the furniture, I think he thought the same thing, but somehow, someway they pulled it off! Both of these gentlemen were professional and courteous. They treated the furniture as if it were their own, made sure everything was reassembled properly and were more concerned that it was placed properly then we were. I highly recommend Reginald and "Movers-for-a-cause" and will definitely use them again.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common types of jobs which we perform are: 1. Load/Unload Services (Trucks, PODS, PackRats, etc.): You provide the truck, container or storage unit either loaded or empty, and we'll take care of the rest to get you moved out or moved in. 2. Local All Inclusive Moves (We Load, We Drive, We Unload): These are typically moves that may be in town (within a 10 mile radius) or from state to state (within a 100 mile radius). We take away the stress of it all and get you into your new home seamlessly. We'll even set it up for you so it looks like you've been there way more than a few hours! 3. In-House, what we like to call, "mini-moves". These may be as simple as moving a tv for someone's grandma, helping a couple rearrange furniture in their house or helping the new college student set up their first dorm room and assemble some furniture!
