World Class Gutters Roofing and Siding did not replace my roof correctly or
to a level consistent with the contract. For examples: ice and water shield
and underlayment were not put where it should have been and was omitted,
flashing was omitted and old materials were reused, ridge vent not properly
cut into peak sheathing, attic fan cut out and was not properly covered
with replacement sheathing (they shingled over hole), live electrical wire
from attic fan was cut and left hanging, bathroom vent duct left lying in
attic insulation. Exposed and UNSEALED nails randomly in roof shingles,
Rain downspouts were smashed flat, rain gutters buckled/dented and left
stuffed with debris from roofing materials, nails, etc. Flashing missing,
vinyl siding cracked, broken and pieces missing, broken garden lights, door
and window screens slashed. Charged for permit but permit not obtained
prior to job. Roof leaks and did not leak prior to new roof. Company cannot
and now refuses to fix by blaming leak as a siding issue! It goes on and
on
. Website misrepresents workmanship, ability to perform work, states
100% customer satisfaction guaranteed and company does not honor these
claims. Also company claims over 22 yrs. experience; WHO HAS IT AND
EXPERIENCE AT WHAT?!?, If their ad were true World Class should know
better! BUYERS BEWARE!! THESE PROBLEMS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED!!
The World Class owners long run-on inaccurate rebuttal that was posted
doesnt have much to do with FACTS about their work or regard to my
complaints. This shows World Class desperate attempt at evading their
wrong doings and incompetence. The owner had no presence or knowledge of
the initial problems that were encountered as I dealt with the
representative who was released and no longer in World Class employ. World
Class owners timeline is quite inaccurate and selective only for his
benefit.
The owner did admit that my roof installation should have been a 2 day job
but since it only took 7 ½ hours further proves that the overzealous rush
removal of shingles took out more than it should have such as roof flashing
and even some j channel and vinyl siding!! In addition, during the work
being done at my home, the supervising boss left for hours as he claimed he
was attending to another roofing problem at another job site (what a
surprise!). This left their workers on my home without supervision and not
enough supplies to do the job correctly so they conveniently omitted
important materials such as ice and water shield, underlayment, flashing
and more!
In addition World Class CONTINUES THEIR DECEPTIVENESS with the false
untrue rebuttal statements that they posted in response to this rating! World
Class Gutters Roofing and Siding Ethics are deficient!
The Better Business Bureau decision WAS NOT DISMISSED IN WORLD CLASS FAVOR
as World Class states. I CHOOSE NOT TO USE THE BBB ARBITRATION SERVICE
because I was going through another mediation process at the same time with
a different consumer agency. For proof of this read the BBB complaint
details in its entirety and at the very end it shows the TRUE OUTCOME as it
was: *BBB's Final Determination:* Business agreed to arbitrate the
complaint but the consumer declined.
The complaint with the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs as well
as the New Jersey State Dept. of Consumer Affairs was NOT DISMISSED in
their favor as World Class states but was CLOSED because MEDIATION WAS NOT
ACCEPTED BY EITHER PARTY. THIS CAN BE ALL BE VERIFIED by calling each
agency concerning World Class and asking if this matter was settled in the
contractors favor as he states because it WAS NOT.
World Class never obtained a permit prior to starting work on my roof
although it was listed in the contract and I was charged for it. The
township work permit that World Class obtained was over 5 months AFTER the
day the job was started and ONLY obtained because Consumer Affairs warned
them with a violation that they could be sued. The inspection from this
Township Permit FAILED ON SEVERAL ISSUES. World Class never finished the
job or the repairs for the damages that they have caused to my home. The
Consumer Affairs department director states the #1 RULE; never pay in full
until the job is complete and you are satisfied. Needless to say I AM NOT
SATISFIED AT ALL!!
World Class idea of going above and beyond is using a tube of caulk as a
band aid for their caused damages, as an example; instead of replacing
flashing as needed as it was stated in the contract, they just omitted it
and then repair it with a tube of caulk. World Class should have
rectified the problems the correct way with the correct materials
accordingly (which really should have been done correctly from the start of
the job!). World Class had the opportunity many times to do the right
thing BUT THEY DID NOT.
Deceptive advertising too - World Class advertised 100% customer
satisfaction guaranteed. World Class tells you one thing and even puts it
in writing in the contract but does what they want, how they want after
the down payment! They have an ASININE EXCUSE for everything when
confronted!
Be advised that I never admitted to being aware that the leak is from
siding and there is no email stating such as World Class states. World
Class will play you for a fool or at least try as in my case. The
representative friend that World Class sent to my home for show and
because World Class couldnt find where the leak was coming from,
conveniently agrees with World Class and tells the World Class owner that
the leak is coming from the siding and not the roof so as to support
World Class!! This representative friend then gives me a separate price
in writing to fix the problem by putting in flashing no less! What a scam
this crew is!! World Class expects me to accept this nonsense!
FYI: If water gets behind siding where the wall meets the roof, flashing
should direct it away from entering the house, WOULDNT A ROOFER BY TRADE
KNOW THIS?
BY THE WAY ISNT THE IDEA OF GETTING A WHOLE NEW INSTALLED ROOF SUPPOSED TO
ELIMINATE LEAKS?? World Class should stick to gutter cleaning as they
did not even do that like they were supposed to!
I HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND WORLD CLASS GUTTERS ROOFING AND SIDING or any other
name that they go by as they do have a few similar. Worst Class-YES! World
Class-ABSOLUTELY NOT!
