FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am the owner and instructor at Evening Star Studio since its creation in 2013. I am also registrar and a children's teacher at the Bucks county classical art center in New Hope, PA. Self taught, I have been drawing since my childhood, with a constant love for anatomy, the human figure and light/dark contrasts. Drawing is a personal and imaginative way of communicating with others, and teaching it brings this idea further. I am striving to promote the spirit of the classical masters while helping each and everyone develop his/her own style.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to become drawing instructor because I love to give back to others whatever I learn. Children are especially fun to teach, as they are so open minded and often aiming for simplicity. In a world and time where art in all its forms is often underrated, I think it's essential to give our children the opportunity to follow their hearts for what is beautiful and inspiring.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Defining a goal is important before contacting a teacher. The teacher will bring his/her insight, experience and technique, but the developing artist should keep in mind what it is he/she wishes to accomplish.
