Hi, I’m the owner of Schumm’s Computers, based in Landing, NJ. I provide affordable and straightforward computer repair, diagnostics, upgrades, maintenance, and custom gaming PC services.
I can help with slow or non-working computers, Windows issues, hardware troubleshooting, virus and malware removal, SSD and RAM upgrades, PC cleaning, data transfers, new computer setup, and custom PC builds.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in keeping my pricing straightforward and affordable. I provide pricing before moving forward with repairs whenever possible, so there are no unexpected charges. Diagnostics start at $30, and the diagnostic fee is applied toward an approved repair. Prices may vary depending on the complexity of the problem, time required, and any parts needed. I’m also willing to work with customers when possible to find a repair or upgrade option that fits their needs and budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, I start by discussing the problem they’re experiencing and asking a few questions about the computer and its symptoms. Once I receive the system, I perform a diagnostic to identify the cause and determine the best solution. I then explain what I found, discuss the available repair or upgrade options, and provide pricing before moving forward. After receiving approval, I complete the work, test the system to make sure everything is functioning properly, and review the completed work with the customer when the computer is returned.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education and training combine more than 10 years of hands-on experience working with computers and electronics with technical education at Sussex County Technical School and additional college coursework. Much of my knowledge has also come from years of diagnosing problems, repairing and upgrading computers, building custom systems, and continually learning as computer hardware and technology have evolved.
