FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We provide starting prices for our custom cakes on our website. The final quoted price depends on the design selected. Cakes made with special flavors, that have fondant, chocolate or other decorations, or other specialized and complex designs will be quoted at a higher rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to refer clients to the custom order request form on my website as it’s the easiest way for both the client and me to ensure I have all the information I need to provide an accurate quote. However sometimes this process is handled by email. Once I have an event date, and the design and flavor preferences from the client, I’ll provide a quote by email. The client reviews the quote and I’ll make any adjustments they would like. Once the details are settled, I will send an invoice to the client. The client then reviews the invoice, including terms and conditions. Assuming all looks good the client pays online directly via the invoice. The client’s order is not confirmed until payment is made. A few days before the order is due I usually reach out to the client to reconfirm delivery information and provide instructions on how to cut and care for their cake.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed a Wilton cake decorating course. In addition I have a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification and am a registered Cottage Food Operator in the state of NJ.
