FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have found that taking classes and learning are a lifelong desire for me. i love learning new things and experimenting. i take both on location classes and online classes, and plan to continuously do so, to satisfy my curiosity and the wants and needs of my clients. i am very much a visual and hands on learner, so both of these types of classes work well for me, and i have gained so much by doing this.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been artistic....actually, an artist is all i have ever dreamed of being. Photography is an art that allows me to show others how i see my world, AND allows me to artistically interpret what i see in so many ways. I dabbled in Portraiture before i had my 3 daughters...and when they came along in fast succession, i had to put things on the back burner for quite some time. When they went off to college, i began to dabble again, and renew my love of what i only then realized i was missing....a lot! Now that they are one their own and i was downsized in my hours of work at a local school, i decided it was the perfect time to make my long awaited dream come true! I continue to take classes and learn new techniques to make beautiful art to be enjoyed for generations to come.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Have a basic idea of what type of photographs or portraits you are looking for. Casual or formal, indoor or out? Do you like B&W, color, sepia, antiqued or perhaps layered and textured or enhanced with filters? Having an idea helps the photographer please you and you be happy with the work he or she does. Communication is key. By checking on my website you will see a variety of treatments, and can get an idea of what you might like, or definitely dont like. Feel free to call me and ask questions....i am happy to help!
