When I noticed my basement was starting to smell dingy and musky, I did some research online and decided to get a professional opinion. We only use the basement for storage and to do laundry, being a new mom I want to provide a healthy environment for my family. Tom and his staff took the time to educate me on what type of damage mold can do if unnoticed and not treated to my property and most importantly to our health. They were able to work with our schedule to come out and evaluate my basement providing me with a free estimate. After consulting with 2 other companies, I know I made the right decision awarding Mastertech Environmental with the job. They are very professional, very thorough with cleaning up and making sure I was satisfied with their work. They offered me a reasonable rate, made me feel as if I was a priority, Tom and his staff are very down to earth, gave me a peace of mind knowing I was working with honest people who really cared.

It gives me great pleasure writing and highly recommending Tom Duff from Master Tech Environmental for all of your remediation needs. I do not write reviews but to remiss such a truly wonderful company in today’s dishonest world would be a big oversight sharing with others in need of a reputable, honest, integrity driven company that has the skill and expertise from the initial contact to the completion of the work this company stands behind. So lacking in companies today especially in this field that is driven by greed, distrust and sub-par workman & craftsmanship. From the initial call and an urgent situation that was halted for 9 months due to other remediation specialists deceitful run around, Tom without hesitation and not knowing what he was up against, turned a nightmare situation at our beach house that was flooded and locked up into a calm thoughtful process. He responded immediately to our initial call and put us at ease from the first contact. He takes immediate action, from dealing with the insurance company and making it a priority to take the stress off of the customer. He explained in great detail what needed to be done step by step and provided his certificates, insurance and guarantee that MasterTech stands behind. I had the opportunity over the past months to learn, investigate and educate myself in the water & mold industry after months of hell. Be skeptical of fraudulent remediation specialists in the market. I found out the hard way. Many remediation specialists claim they use specific products only to find out they didn’t use the product quoted in scope of work or complete the work 100% while charging outrageous hidden fee’s. This hides the issue causing more damage and harm later on. They simply do not care about your health, finances or you as a person. Do not fall victim to a sales pitch or panic when you are in need of remediation. EDUCATE yourself. Tom and the team at MasterTech not only is one of the few remediation specialists out there who is an true EXPERT in all areas of remediation and really CARES about the customer and guarantee’s the work performed. When we discovered water in my basement I knew we were destined for mold. I really didnt know any reputable companies, but I chose Mastertech. Tom was very friendly, prompt and honest. He explained to me what was going on, what would happen if I didn't take prompt action. If you are looking for someone you can trust, who won't take advantage of you, call Mastertech. How did you get started doing this type of work?
Having grown up in a house with mold, I have first-hand experience with it's health effects. Throughout my different careers, I've done fire inspections, arson investigations, home inspections and termite inspections. Basically, I've almost always inspected something and mold seemed to be the natural progression. Now it's all we do. Just mold investigations and removal.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers realized that not just anybody can handle mold clean up. We spend hundreds of hours training every year to keep up with safety protocols and to remain as advanced as possible when it comes to safe and effective mold removal.
