About
Hello, I’m Edward, head trainer at American Canine Coach formerly of Buck's Dog Training. I believe training your dog is a fantastic way to create a lifelong bond with your companion. My first dog was a Rottweiler named Elvis; after going through a board and train program with him, I became fascinated with training dogs. As a dog trainer, my job is to train dogs and teach the owners how to communicate and create a structure for their dogs. My goal is to help my clients train their dogs to be great members of the family. I love the process of training a young dog or puppy that knows very little, teaching them the skills and behaviors they need to know to become the dog you always wanted. Our board and train program offers your dog the opportunity to learn all of the basic behaviors to be a life-long companion. From basic obedience to off-leash walking, our board and train program quickly balances your dog and trains them to listen. Along with basic obedience, I also work with fearful dogs and dogs who suffer from separation anxiety and have even bitten people. If you think your dog is untrainable or is having behavioral issues, I can help. Every dog is different and has a unique personality. I love working with different personalities and making them shine. At Buck's Dog Training, we train all sizes, breeds, and age dogs.

Life changing dog trainers! My dog was stuck in flight or flight mode due to anxiety. He could never relax, always barking, resource guarding, and not following commands any longer, the list goes on and on of every bad habit and behavior a dog could express.I was exhausted with working with Ned daily and having minimal luck to get him back to a calm, happy dog.Everything changed when Ned went to stay with Rebecca. Ned stayed with her for a month. This was the best experience we could offer Ned. And Rebecca was the correct trainer to send Ned to. Not only did she train Ned, they loved him and cared for him.Ned is calm, cool and relaxed. He trusts, takes naps, sleeps during the night and follows our commands! His anxiety is gone. He is loving life again and enjoying being a dog.I will continue to send Ned to Rebecca for some refresher sessions. Rebecca even trained me. I am happy to be a point of reference if ever needed. As I write this Ned is currently 2 months out of the one month training and he seems to get better each day.I am so grateful and thankful for you all! Ned is loving his happy dog life again.Thank you.Forever grateful- Donielle

Edward introduced us to Rebecca because he knew we were looking for a Shepherd and she was fostering/training one. We met Rebecca and Tango and fell in love. Rebecca also trained Tango as a service dog for us. Rebecca was great and sent us updates and videos frequently. She even brought the dog to our campsite so we could see how she reacted. Tango knows all her basic commands and we are learning her service commands so she can be a support dog. Tango has exceeded all our expectations and we appreciate everything both Rebecca and Edward did to get us such a wonderful well trained dog! We would recommend both Edward and Rebecca highly to anyone looking for trainers for their dogs.

I cannot praise the boarding training enough for my seven-year-old rescue dog. We enrolled our formerly aggressive, protective, and excessively barking Simba with Rebecca, the head trainer. Under her guidance, Simba has undergone an incredible transformation. He is now a well-behaved, well-mannered walker who is much friendlier. Even after having previously bitten my sister, their relationship has been completely turned around, and he now adores her. While he may let out an occasional bark, he promptly stops on command, walks calmly beside me without pulling, and maintains composure around strangers and other dogs. With a simple command, he either minds his own business or complies by sitting. At home, he responds to being told to go to his cot and stays there until instructed otherwise. He willingly goes into his crate for rest breaks or when directed. Simba's progress has truly been remarkable! Thank you so much, Edward and Rebecca!

Ed at American Canine Coach was a lifesaver for us when we took in an American Bully puppy with a high prey drive and absolutely zero impulse control. My fianc and I were at our wits end when Wasabi started going after our two cats, it was taking such a toll on us that we were even contemplating the idea of returning Wasabi, which would have been absolutely devastating for us. We called Ed and he immediately eased our minds with his confidence in being able to help us with our situation and set up a realistic game plan. During his board and train Ed kept us updated with photos and videos of Wasabis progress, and when we picked him up he made sure we fully understood how to continue his training and properly utilize the tools and structure that he provided. Wasabi was a different dog when he got home with him, with proper structure and continued impulse control training we are able to redirect him when needed. Four months have passed and wasabi is still going strong with his obedience and his day to day behavior. Everything from simple leash control and not pulling, staying in place, all the way to managing his high prey drive. Wasabi is a completely different dog with all of the original Wasabi that we loved when we first met him, just with the structure that he needed. And Ed is to thank for everything. Highly recommend!
