Introduction: What makes me special is the warmth, open-heartedness, and creativity I bring to the table. I believe in love and marriage, in the power of building a solid foundation for a stable, life-long relationship, and in having a little fun while we're at it, and I feel that is reflected in my ceremonies. I am very open to the vision my couples have for their wedding, and I really enjoy being a partner in creating that vision. My happiness in my work comes from successfully giving my couples the day they envisioned. I love meeting new people, using my creativity and my excitement about events, and my passion for making something special. Writing ceremonies that truly reflect the joy a couple take in one another is quite satisfying. I am always so warmed by seeing the love my couples share, and feeling the energy of that love flowing between them. It's like a little happy pill every time! I think that makes my job one of the best jobs in the world - being around a couple who are starting their lives, full of hopes and dreams and love for each other! I love creating memories that last a lifetime.

Choose Holly! Holly married my wife Marisa and I in September 2014. She was awesome! We highly, completely, positively, enthusiastically, whole-heartedly recommend Holly 1,000%! She is professional, kind, caring, intelligent, creative and open. She is a wonderful partner to work with during such a special time. Communication was excellent from day one through the "day of" in person, on the phone and via text and email. Holly has put together a number of beautiful ceremonies to choose from and is fantastic to work with customizing the ceremony to your needs and tastes. From the first time I talked to Holly I knew she was the right person for the job at hand. We decided in a short amount of time (3 weeks) to get married and have the ceremony at our home. The only problem was we knew pretty much nothing about weddings let alone a gay wedding. When we had questions she gave us advice from her experience but did not try to tell us what to do. She is calming and gave us confidence that no matter what happened, because something usually goes wrong, it would be ok. Holly was so patient with us even though we changed our mind on details several times. She is very professional but personable at the same time. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While it may seem my prices are a bit complicated, there are really only a few things that affect the structure: size of the wedding, date, time, location. Bigger weddings, in-season weddings, peak times, and distance I travel all affect my bottom line, so it affects the cost of the services I provide.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Does reading wedding magazines and websites count? I think so! I stay on top of wedding trends, and I'm always researching new vows, readings, and ceremonies from all cultures and religions to help make ceremonies meaningful. I'm also a Licensed Associate Counselor in NJ, so I can offer pre-marital counseling. I have worked in the mental health field for 13 years, and have helped many couples and families.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
After thirteen years in the counseling business, working with teens and families during crises, I realized that I was burning out. I sat down and thought about what steps to take next, and who I want to be. Back when I married my husband, our officiant told me she thought I'd be a wonderful officiant myself. It's been in the back of my mind ever since, and the timing was right, so I took a leap of faith, and here I am! I'm so excited by every part of weddings and marriages!
