FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rates are $0.05 per word for proofreading, $0.10 per word for copyediting, $0.15 per word for developmental editing, and $0.25 per word for ghostwriting. Larger projects are divided into milestones. A $750 story-development or manuscript-planning package is often the best first step. Final quotes depend on word count, document condition, deadline, and deliverables.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Start by sending the word count, genre or document type, audience, goals, deadline, and a representative sample. I review those materials asynchronously and recommend a written scope, timeline, and price. Larger books often begin with a paid development phase. If a call would be useful after the project is qualified, we can schedule one focused conversation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a doctorate in literature and a master’s degree in communication. I am also a published nonfiction author, founder of GenZ Publishing, and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in Media. My additional training includes voiceover, social media, and HarvardX coursework in world literature.
