About
⭐️ Named Forbes 30 Under 30 in Media ⭐️ Top Rated in PR, Social Media, & Marketing I enjoy making a positive change and sparking innovation in others. I began my entrepreneurial career at a young age, and it's something that I enjoy sharing with others. As an entrepreneur myself, I realize why website content writers and marketers are so critical for up-and-coming and established businesses. I started Dr. Rissy’s Writing to help other entrepreneurs like myself to best showcase their products and services through professional, SEO-enhanced writing and marketing practices. Dr. Rissy’s Writing & Marketing consists of a team of talented writers, graphic designers, and marketing professionals dedicated to making your business or brand rise above the rest. Our team writes search engine optimized (SEO) blog posts, website content, social media posts, and technical articles designed to bring readers and customers onto your website. We have years of experience working with social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, and more. Our team has excellent writing, editing, and communication skills and has expert experience with social media analytics. In addition to social media experience, we are well-versed in SEO and digital marketing and have helped many clients get to the coveted first page of the search pages for competitive terms. My team is certified in all six Google Ads certifications in addition to Google Garage's Digital Marketing course. I created GenZ Publishing to get authors on their feet and promote their work through both content and book-promotion. Thus, I only seek and hire the best and brightest professional talent available. I believe that talented authors and entrepreneurs need the help of someone they trust to make their dreams come true. I have an M.A. in Communications and my Doctorate in Literature. I have been featured in periodicals and online publications including Forbes, Entertainment Weekly, Forbes, HuffPost, Hello Giggles, Nerd Approved, Grunge, and more. I am the author of three nonfiction books: Be a Digital Entrepreneur Today, Writing for the New Generation, and Notes Never Sent.

When I first started writing “A Dark Night”, there wasn’t really a reasoning behind it, I just felt like I should write it. The idea was there, but all the details that I have now, were not. I missed things and I repeated others, and I added little comments that didn’t really make sense to the book as a whole. I didn’t realize that at the time of course, but I’m sure glad that I realize it now. And, of course, I wouldn’t never gotten to that place without Dr. Morissa Schwartz and Team. Specifically, I worked with Ashley for the editing process and had a blast working on it! She helped me make the script so much stronger and she was easy to talk to, I don’t think Morissa would hire anyone who isn’t like that. The team was very prompt and clear with their work as well as honest, kind, patient, and fair. Overall, they were very pleasant to work with and so helpful. A year ago, I’m not sure I could've imagined myself in this place. I still have a bit of work to do on my own, in order to get it out and into the world, but I could not have gotten where I am without the team (cue the disney music). It is my hope to one day write a squeal and I can absolutely say that I will be contacting them again!

Dr. Morissa Schwartz's reply
Thank you so much, Amelia. Working through the editing process is just one skill some of our experienced teammates have. We love to help a client recognize their ideas and bring them to life. Everyone on our team has specific skills, and they are all understanding when it comes to our clients' voices.

I hired this provider for a three-month marketing and social media support package. Only limited preliminary work was completed, consisting of an initial audit and some testimonial wording edits. The core services discussed in writing, including social media account setup, content creation, and execution of a visibility or growth plan, were never started. On December 22, I requested a temporary pause with the understanding that services would resume in February. This pause was explicitly agreed to in writing. Before any additional work was delivered, I terminated the engagement in January due to lack of progress and requested a proportional partial refund for the undelivered portion of the service. The provider declined that request and instead offered either: • a credit only if I resumed services, or • a reduced refund contingent on signing a mutual release and non-disparagement agreement When I declined those conditions, all refund options were withdrawn and the engagement was declared “fulfilled,” despite multiple planned deliverables remaining incomplete. There was no signed contract outlining refund restrictions or defining completion criteria. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this service obtain very clear, written terms regarding deliverables, timelines, and refund policies before paying in advance. *screenshots of email communication and corroboration of valid complaint available.

Dr. Morissa Schwartz's reply
Travis, I want to respond clearly and factually to ensure accuracy and transparency for future readers. This engagement began in November 2025, and work commenced immediately. Within the first month, you received a full onboarding packet, a comprehensive professional website audit, written strategic recommendations, testimonial copy, brand messaging, and draft website copy. You acknowledged receipt of this work and actively collaborated on revisions and next steps. Early in the engagement, I also had to establish standard professional boundaries after repeated after-hours calls and messages. Once those boundaries were clearly communicated, you apologized and we moved forward productively. I note this only because maintaining clear, professional communication is an important part of any services-based relationship. On December 22, 2025, you requested a temporary pause to services due to timing and financial considerations, with the understanding that work would resume at a later date. That pause was honored. No additional deliverables were scheduled or executed during the pause period at your request. In January, you chose to terminate the engagement before resuming services and requested a partial refund for work that had already been completed and delivered. As communicated in writing, this was a month-to-month professional services engagement, and once work begins, payments are non-refundable. At no point during the active service period did you raise concerns regarding quality, scope, or delivery. The screenshots you’ve referenced reflect documented collaboration and work performed, not a lack of service. I’ve operated in marketing, publishing, and consulting for many years and maintain hundreds of verified positive reviews and long-term client relationships. While not every engagement is the right fit, I stand fully behind the work delivered, the boundaries maintained, and the professionalism upheld throughout this engagement. I wish you the best moving forward
