Responded on email on Sunday to my surprise and arrived Monday morning to do the job. Detected leak right away and fixed it. As he was leaving he realized that the house was warm. Checked thermostat and guessed what the problem was. Worked a while to solve it, but realized he needed backup as he didn't have all the equipment. Backup came in the afternoon. Fixed the problem and I had a cool house before nightfall. Technician even checked my filter and cleaned it.
Very grateful to Mandell. Professional and knowledgeable. Felt I was in good hands. Would not hesitate to call them if I have a plumbing, heating or A/C problem.

Great job. I will consider Mandell Plumbing for any plumbing issue that I have in the future. I originally thought that I had a sump pump issue but turned out to be a clogged drain to the street. They were at my house within an hour of calling them and fixed the issue as promised.

A piece of the pipe under our kitchen sink rotted away, and caused a leak this morning. Mandell Plumbing was the first to respond to my Thumbtack request, and within one hour, Ryan was at our house. we work with a flat rate system. we don't charge hourly, this way I can give you an exact quote before work begins. If the work takes longer than expected, your price does not change.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
our process for working with a new customer is to come in, evaluate the scope of the work. then give an estimate before any work begins.
if the customer wishes to obtain other quotes before agreeing to proceed with us, that is fine. we honor all of our proposals for 90 days.
this allows you, the customer to make an educated decision on who you hire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a n.j. licensed master plumber. I also hold licenses in hvac,refrigerator and contracting.
I am also college educated.
