Introduction
I have over 12 years of experience teaching children from different backgrounds between the ages of 4-16, which includes pre kindergarten, elementary middle and high school children. I also offer ESL lessons for people of all ages, to help them achieve their desired level of proficiency in English. I do a free one hour session at the beginning, so I can meet my students, understand their personalities, get to know them and evaluate them. Based on this, I build a personalized plan customized to suit their needs and help them achieve their goals. I do offer discounts if 3 or more classes are necessary weekly. - For pre kindergarten and elementary school children, I work with them based on their level and their needs. This includes everything that they have on their school curriculum and more. - For older kids who are in middle school and high school, I provide classes for Math, Science and Computer programming. - I also provide assistance with homework as required. I believe in tracking the progress made, so I provide monthly reports on topics covered and the performance of your child, so you can feel assured and at ease. I would love to hear from you regarding your child's academic needs, as I know I can definitely help them reach their full potential.

In a word: fantastic! My middle schooler has struggled with algebra since school began last fall. He had a difficult time grasping the concepts and it reflected in his very average grades in the first two quarters of the school year. I decided to find him a tutor to help him understand the algebraic concepts in a way that would be easier for him to understand. After a pretty exhaustive search, I found Deba and she’s been a godsend. We’ve already seen a marked improvement in his grades as well as his confidence in the few weeks she’s been working with my son. He’s begun referring to Deba as his ‘cheat code’:). Highly recommend!

Ms. Deba is currently helping me with my second grader and high school kids with learning differences. She not only teaches them their current material for class but makes it her goal to work on their weaknesses in order to catch them up. She is extremely patient and always positive. Both my kids enjoy her very much and it’s been a relief to have her help. She is highly recommended.

We were referred by family to Ms. Deba and she has now been working with my daughter for about 1 year. I cannot express enough how amazing it has been to have Ms. Deba in our lives during a time we did not know how to support out daughter entering 1st grade and struggling with math and reading. We are a bilingual household, and Ms. Deba took the time to ask us about our family goals and values - not to tell us we were wrong, but to figure out how to incorporate them in her work and plans with our daughter. Since working with Ms. Deba, 2/week, my daughter has made honor roll 3 times and has tested on or above grade level on the school's standardized test. But most importantly - her confidence in her abilities have increased tremendously this year and she is always excited to show us her work from school. Ms. Deba has been very patient with our daughter and learned her preferred activities to incorporate in their sessions. For example, she wanted to use her white board and Ms. Deba found a way to include that while reviewing math. Our daughter one day wanted all her dolls to sit in on the session and Ms. Deba was excited to get them "all" involved and she even learned that my daughter enjoyed changing the background of her screen and used that to motivate her to finish a task. Ms. Deba is clear and has provided the perfect amount of "we are here to get to work but also make it fun" that my daughter needed. We are so grateful to have her in our lives and truly our home - we highly recommend her supports and expertise.
