I used Thumbtack because my regular electrician that I used for decades retired. Ali @ SV got back to me right away after I posted my issue. The next day Muhammad and Abdullah arrived. An outside 65 year old outlet was no longer working. They discovered a short in the wire feeding it. To replace it they had to chisel the old, non-GFCI outlet/box from the brick siding to install a new one along with running some new wire. They were so careful that there was no damage to the brick, just the mortar which can easily be repaired. These guys will be my go to call for all electrical going forward.

This is the second time we’ve worked with Ali’s team for something. The first time we had them install a new GFCI outlet as part of a bathroom renovation a few months back. They did a good job so I ended up calling them back when my master bedroom light switch stopped working. I tried installing another smart light and it shorted again, so I resolved to have electricians come out to trouble shoot. Ali responded immediately and came the same day. They were super courteous and respected my request for shoe covers within the house, excluding the ladder/attic for understandable safety reasons. From the wall, they promptly verified there was a short happening and something was wrong with my recessed lights.
