- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I do charge per hour. I do not like to overcharge my client with a fixed rate for the designs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend many Henna conferences and get to learn many techniques and styles. I also teach at Henna Gathering in the North East region. I am a single mom and used to work as a legal assistant until April 2014. While i was a full time legal assistant, henna was always a hobby and it became a full time business since April 2014.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Henna was always an interest even though my career was something else (I was education counsellor in India).. when I got married I worked with my ex-husband in his cigar store and i would give complimentary henna to all the clients' girlfriends... one lady tipped me $100 and told me, how big the demand for henna was in the West Coast...When I was laid off from work in 2014, I just remembered her words and took this up as my full time activity and I am loving it..
