I have been working with Brandon for many months now and I find him to be a very professional and qualified trainer who is passionate about what he does. He is a great motivator, wonderful at designing a program/workout around specific needs or target areas. He is punctual and always positive. I have truly enjoyed working with him and would recommend him to anyone—in fact, I have recommended him to many of my closest friends and family. One of my favorite things about him is that he goes above and beyond for his clients. Of course, I hired him for personal training but he’s always willing to answer diet and excercise questions even on his own time and even encourages it. I believe this to be because he is dedicated to what he does and really cares about his clients and their goals. Thanks to him I’ve made great strides in my fitness and weight loss goals!Nov 24, 2017Verified
As someone who has lost a lot of weight on my own, I was nervous to incorporate another person into such a personal and long term project of mine. I had been thinking about hiring a personal trainer for a while but I hadn't had the guts to actually take the first step. May of this year I reached out to Brandon and I could't have been happier with my experience. As a trainer Brandon is reliable, supportive, and truly as dedicated to my fitness journey as I am (if not more so). With his guidance and support, I was able to see changes in my body that I did't think were possible and I can't wait to see how far I can take it. I would highly recommend Journey Fitness for anyone who is ready to make a positive change in their life and is looking for not only a coach, but a friend.Oct 18, 2016Verified
Incredible, the only word that comes to mind. Been working with Brandon for almost 4 months now & it's the longest that I have worked out in over 30 years! I was reluctant in the beginning partly because of my age, 57 & the other part thinking I could do it on my own. Mistake on both counts. in our initial meeting Brandon explained that he tailors the work-out to the individual. he's worked with clients much older than me and in worse shape although not many in that department. I was afraid of being too sore, too tired, to embarrassed and countless other excuses. I,m glad my wife gave me the nudge I needed to get started. after interviewing several trainers on Thumbtack I decided to go with Brandon's free no obligation evaluation. He came over and we did a couple of exercises to see how pitiful I really was. but it was mostly talking. It was then that I made the decision to hire him to be my personal trainer. Wow am I glad I did, my energy level has soared! as well as losing weight & gaining Muscles that I never knew existed because of the exercises and how to perform them. he explained to me that most people dont know that stabilization muscles exist let alone train them. in short or at this point in long if you are looking for an absolutely great personal trainer I would suggest you contact him before Starting your Journey to better overall health & happiness. Thank you Brandon! Sincerely yours, Izzy EisenbergFeb 4, 2017Verified
Two years ago, our son suffered a brain injury. He was in a wheelchair, and as a result, gained over 100lbs. After months of unsuccessful physical therapy, we decided to hire a personal trainer. It was a godsend that we found Brandon Swanner from Journey Fitness. After just four months of training, Brandon has our son walking with a walker and crutches. He no longer uses the wheelchair as his primary means to get around. Brandon not only focuses on his weight, strength and balance, but motivates him to keep trying and not give up. He even goes out of his way to text on his off days to encourage him to exercise. Brandon also assists with healthy meal choices. He is truly the best thing that has happened since this horrible injury. He has done more to facilitate his recovery in four months than the 18 months of physical rehab prior. Our son also suffered a speech deficiency as part of his injury. Consequently, he does not like to talk to “outsiders.” Brandon takes time to have conversations with him, and we have seen tremendous improvement in his speech as a result. Having Brandon has given us a renewed hope for recovery. We are so very grateful to have him! I will be very happy to provide a verbal reference at any time.Sep 19, 2016Verified
When searching for a personal trainer in NJ , Brandon responded me on Thumbtack. He is a talented and hard working trainer that knows how to push you hard but not over the edge. I've noticed results and he is very good about challenging you to beat your current best records. Brandon is constantly reminding me to combine your eating habits with your workout. As he says, you cannot out exercise a bad diet. And he genuinely tries to follow up and make sure you are making good choices at meal time. If you are looking to invest in your good health, look no further than Brandon. He makes each workout unique. Not only is he a great trainer, he's an even better person.Oct 6, 2015Verified
