- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before booking, I schedule a consultation by phone or FaceTime. While it may seem like an extra step, it’s an important one. It gives us the opportunity to connect personally and determine whether we’re the right fit for each other. I believe strong photographs begin with understanding. Getting to know my clients not only makes the experience more relaxed and enjoyable, it allows me to create images that genuinely reflect their personalities rather than applying a one-style-fits-all approach. During every session and wedding, I am constantly evaluating my work in real time asking myself: Is this the strongest way to portray them? Is the light working in our favor? Would a different perspective, composition, or element elevate the image? That level of intention continues throughout the entire process. After the contract is signed, I send my couples a detailed wedding questionnaire so we can thoughtfully plan the timeline, priorities, family dynamics, and key moments. From our first conversation to the final delivery, every detail of the wedding day is carefully considered to ensure the experience and the images are the best they can possibly be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My photography education started before digital. When I lived in overseas, I have taken film photography and darkroom classes. I started digital photography in 2011 with private lessons from a fashion photographer. I assisted a wedding photographer, that provided on the job training. Finally I went to International Center of Photography in NYC. Addition to all these I take several online classes, PPA Workshops, every year.
