- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was hired by a company to engrave a 4ftx8ft chart of the world and a 4ftx4ft chart in clear 1/2" acrylic. The engraving of the larger one took 11.5hrs. The company then edge lit the aluminum frame and placed in the Ralph Lauren flagship store window on Madison Avenue for a few weeks. This was a very rewarding project.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I am not a mass producer of trophies "blanks" and work with the customer on a one to one basis to get exactly what you want in your presentation plaque. If I can't do it, I'll tell you. If you have better ideas than me, I'm not too proud to incorporate them. I came from a 34 year career in a service/supply industry as an owner. This is a hobby becoming a business and I am having fun. Creativity is good for the soul. If your provider can talk to you like a person, not an order number, then you might have a good provider.
