We just used CGT Construction (JJ) to completely renovate our rowhome in Fishtown which began in Jan '24 and ended in Aug '24. Given every room was touched - including a full kitchen reno, basement stairway move and new bathroom/laundry - I am impressed it was completed in eight months. We loved working with JJ especially as he has strong attention to detail and would acknowledge when things needed fixing / to be re-done. ***Many contractors will not do this. When changes were needed to the plan as this was our first reno of this nature, he was VERY FAIR in the cost of the change. Yes, we needed to keep on the day-to-day workers to ensure our quality standards and things did need to be re-done to meet them. However, I cannot stress enough 1) how reasonable the costs were and 2) how wonderful it is to work with JJ whom would at least agree when things needed redoing and ensure it was done (without added cost). In the photos, you will see - Fireplace/hearth that was not there previously (new but salvaged so looks old), new window to yard that was not there, full bathroom remodels and full kitchen remodel.

I recently bought an old house with an unfinished utility room. The ceiling and walls were exposed with big vent pipes. I wanted to renovate it into a full bathroom with a free-standing bathtub. I contacted a few contractors, some of whom were recommended by my friends. After talking to all of them, I decided to go with JJ's team (who I found on thumbtack). Every meeting with JJ, he is very punctual. He outlined the renovation plan, making every details ranging from design, avoiding hazards, permit application, materials, etc. He is communicative through the whole time and very polite. The job is quite intensive, involving drywall, plumbing, electrical, digging holes in the concrete floor, rewiring cords and pipes, installation of all the materials, etc. His team finishes everything within 5 weeks, including permit application and review. The job was excellent. I have recommended JJ to my friends who wants to do a bathroom remodeling or renovation.

We required our basement to be remodeled due to being flooded and we came across CGT Construction on the internet. JJ quickly responded to our inquiry and setup an appointment for him to come to our home for an estimate. JJ was very professional and listened well to our requests and ideas. He was very patient with us and always stayed in contact if we had any questions. He was easily accessible via text, email or phone call. As for the work, JJ and his team were very professional. They all seem to be focused on the work and they were respectful of the environment since I did work from home for a couple of days a week. JJ was very understanding where the ceiling tile we initially chose did not look good and we asked if he can remove them and return whatever material we can. He did not hesitate to do this which helped us stay within our budget. There was another situation where the initial flooring that JJ had shown us were no longer in-stock, he continued to look for other flooring to help stay on schedule. Fortunately, I was able to find the flooring ourselves and we simply notified JJ the exact floor type, model, price etc. and he quickly put the order in and had everything ready to be installed within several days. All that being said, we stayed within our agreed amount and a reasonable timeline. We are very happy with our interaction with JJ and his team. There is no doubt that we will be contacting them again for another project in our house.

JJ and his team did a great job completely remodeling my kitchen. I was very happy with the work completed in the end. I am a very particular person and was pleased when JJ had the foresight to ask questions and make sure my feedback was included. We dont have a flat price for any project. It varies depends on the project. We have free on site estimate. And there is not any hidden fees

I visit the house for free estimate. I send a quote within 3 days and if everything is fine, l email the contract through docusign. Materials are picked in our office
