We were looking for an inspector and were happy that we went with David he was very easy to work with and scheduling our appointment went quickly. He did a thorough inspection of the home we are looking to purchase and pointed out a lot as well as educated us on some of the features of the home. He was very honest and pointed out small things such as replacing a pipe to big things such as the homes heating and cooling system needed repairs done. Would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a thorough inspection with a great inspector!!

Used Dave to inspect a home last Saturday. He conducted a very thorough and professional inspection and provided a detailed report the following morning. He answered all my questions and promptly returned my calls. Overall I was very satisfied with the entire experience....would definitely use him again.

David inspected a potential home I was looking to purchase and he was so thorough that by the time we were done it gave me a very clear understanding of what issues the house had, what needed fixing and what was downright dangerous. When buying a home, you need a great inspector like David because if you don't get a good inspection you run the risk of buying a big money pit. I bought a home once before but that was a joke compared to the great inspection David did. The home David inspected was a small 1200 sq. home but it was built in 1935 and so he did mention we should expect to see some things pop up. However, he went above and beyond and I am so grateful for his hard work that I will recommend him to others in the future as well and will call on him again for inspections. He also brought Alex, a septic inspector, with him who was also very thorough and very good and provided a very through report. Thank you, David, for your wonderful help! You have no idea how much I appreciate it.

I choose Polo and Associates Home Inspections after finding them online and checking with the BBB. Seeing that the company had an A+ rating with no complaints in the past, I decided to contact them via email. Dave Polo was always very prompt in returning my emails and was able to schedule our home inspection within a few days. He was extremely thorough in his inspection and pointed out all of the issues with the house down to the smallest detail. We feel confident in making the purchase knowing, ahead of time, what issues need to be addressed. I received his inspections reports almost immediately. They were emailed to me the same evening after the inspection. All in all, working with Dave was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the market for a home inspection. I know there are many unqualified home inspectors out there and I was very confident with Dave's knowledge and abilities

My husband and I have used Polo & Associates twice now for our home inspections. The first home we inspected had a septic, well and 2 acres of property. David was equipped to handle every and all areas of the home inspection we needed. Our second home has public utilities and required an oil tank sweep. Again David was more than equipped to handle this inspection. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of a home but he takes the time to inspect every nook and cranny so that you receive a thorough inspection at a great price. Additionally he is very accommodating to contract timelines. We needed our inspection report within 3 days in order to meet our deadline and he had it back to us the same day. We highly recommend Polo & Associates for home inspections and look forward to using his services again for any future purchases we make.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Oh yes, I have to obtain 40 credits every 2 years to satisfy my licensing obligations. I earn credits by attending al day educational seminars all around the state. This keeps me abreast of all the new and many products that manufacturers incorporate into the market. There are new codes that also can indirectly affect my profession. I also, have trained and mentored a dozen home inspection companies so they can get licensure in New Jersey. I access the internet for online education as well. There are many reputable sources on online education for me since I belong to many inspector associations such as ASHI. ALPHI, NACHI, HUD, TIE, etc.
