FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For Flooring Jobs, I charge $1.75 a square foot. Furniture assembly I charge per unit and by item size. I try to charge hourly for projects like door replacements as many different factors can effect how quickly a door can get installed especially if a client provides the incorrect measurements and for that reason hourly makes significantly more sense as smooth installs are cheaper for me and customers to do. For small 20 minute installs like faucet replacements, door knob replacements, and other such small installs, I charge per unit plus transportation fee's. I always ALWAYS offer customers a cash back incentive to leave a review as it helps me out and gets more money back into a customers wallet because I LOVE win-win situations!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get as man photos of the affected area and as much information as possible about the proposed project to help ensure the quotes are as accurate and competitive as possible. I also try to suggest more inexpensive options where possible to try to instill more confidence in clients. It's easier to make a $200 decision vs a $2000 decision because there's less financial risk and stress.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was in the construction and remodeling industry since I'm 17 and as time has gone on I've applied my skills to friends, family, neighbors, and now all who need help. I was previously a licensed HVAC technician who has done it all in the construction industry.
