I am so glad we found JAM Tutoring. My child was having trouble mastering biology concepts and I saw major improvement after the first few sessions. The tutor is kind and patient and helped my child identify his own weaknesses (good teachers always do this well). What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My estimated price is $60 per hour for sessions that are held online. I am willing to travel but I do charge a reasonable travel fee determined by distance.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask the student to send me photos of their notes for what they are currently working on so that I can prepare ahead of time for the lesson to maximize our time together. The photos also allow me to analyze the student's note taking skills and make suggestions to improve note taking if necessary. I also design practice exercises for the student to strengthen the concepts they are working on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I also have a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. My education has consisted of training in courses such as biology, anatomy & physiology, microbiology, and chemistry.
