Being new to New Jersey I called everyone and their mother looking for an Irrigation Specialist. So I ended up getting quotes from 4 companies. One thing I noticed is that pricing varied thousands company to company for the same scope of work. Here is the bottom line difference with Matt @ H2O Pro. He is the only one that did a PSI Test and a Water Flow Test (both free to me) before providing me a quote. He then articulated why what he did is important before designing and bidding my sprinkler system which allowed him to price it correctly. With that said, Matt's price was not only the lowest, he was the only one that explained why he was zoning the system the way we was. He took the time to walk the property a few times, understanding my landscaping and measuring distances accordingly. He asked me important questions on my future plans for plants, trees, kids playset, and trampoline etc... And he performed those 2 important tests so that he could price it fairly and not just throw me a Big Number to ensure he makes his profit. The long and short is... H2O Pros are professionals. I had them install my system and their guys are friendly, fast and clean. When my job was done - Matt took the time to train me on the system and he ensured I understood it before he left. H2O Pro is worth every penny and you will most likely pay less because they take the time to do it right the first time. Matt came on Labor Day to give me an estimate, he did this on very short notice and explained everything in detail. Instead of trying to sell me on a new system, he gave me an estimated quote on repairing the old system. Since I have never seen the old system run, I was optimistic if they could repair it. When Matt turned on the old system there were major leaks, broken lines, and many broken heads. Matt and his technician took nearly 12 hours to repair the old system and even ran new lines in the back yard to optimize the water/flow design. The scope of the work involved capping leaks, redesigning the front/back yard for optimal coverage with the least amount of water flow/loss. They replacement of 4 zone valves, installed a drip hose for the Evergreen Shrubs, installed second generation Rochio controller (wifi), and repaired a leaky external faucet. The choice to replace the zone valves and install a new controller (both worked but were way past their useful life) was my choice and Matt did not pressure me to do it. Several days after the system was installed, I had some questions and Matt offered assistance. I chose to use h20 Pro since it’s a local small business where the owner actually does the work and can make decisions/answer questions on the spot (plus has much less overhead than the big companies). Matt gave me a fair quote where as other companies stated that I would probably need a brand new system. With h20 Pro I have basically a new system with actually paying for one. Matt also gave me a warranty on the labor, controller, and parts. I will use h20 pro in the future for maintenance, seasonal opening/closing, and any other irrigation installations.
