James was very professional and punctual. He gave a detailed proposal on the my basementremodel and even explained to the entire process of the project. He took all measurements and created a plan for me to look at before the project initiated.

I had an outstanding experience working with James Tapia from Global Housing Contractors on my kitchen renovation. From start to finish, James was incredibly thorough, detail-oriented, and consistently communicative, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. His attention to detail ensured every part of the renovation met high standards, and the final result exceeded my expectations. James also did an excellent job managing the other contractors involved, ensuring that the workflow was organized and no one was ever in each other’s way. His crew was professional, respectful of my home, and made sure to clean up at the end of each day. When there was a minor issue with the cabinets, James proactively followed up with me almost a month later to make the final touches and updates—something that really goes a long way and speaks to his commitment to quality. I especially appreciated how transparent and responsive he was with updates and any questions I had along the way. In fact, I’ll be starting a bathroom renovation in the next few months and won’t hesitate to call James again. See below for before and after pics! I must say, the pictures don’t do it justice.

We hired Global Housing Contractors for our first major remodel in our home. James and his team removed a wall between our kitchen and living room, and remodeled our entire kitchen. From the very first day we met with James, and continuing throughout our project, James was very responsive. At our initial meeting he was the first contractor to bring ideas to the table that others did not want to do (i.e. removal of wall, leveling of floors between the two rooms, building an island instead of a breakfast bar or peninsula). He provided us with a drawing to give us an idea of how it would actually look. This was so helpful in determining the placement of things within the kitchen. James’ team- Ed, Ralph, Giovanni were always extremely respectful in my home. They cleaned up after themselves everyday which was so helpful since we lived in the house with small children. The quality of the work performed was really great. Every homeowners nightmare is that additional costs will be incurred throughout the project. James was really fair about additional costs. I’ve already recommended global housing contractors to friends and colleagues and can’t wait to hire them for our next project.

We had opportunity to work with James for our Basementremodel project. James was pretty helpful with ideas and professional is executing the work. He committed and completed the work within the expected time even with our changes to project . James is honest about the cost upfront and let us know the cost of work all along for any additions . James and his crew completed work with quality and on time . I will certainly have James work on our future home renovation project and certainly recommend him.

Very responsive from the beginning. James told us what could and couldn't be done in regards to our bathroom remodel in an old Victorian house. Other people who came in for estimates didn't have nearly as much knowledge and didn't offer up alternate ideas/suggestions for layout. James took alot of measurements and proposed a very workable solution we hadn't thought of and sent us 3D sketches of how it would look. He answered all our questions and was forthright about the pitfalls. We were so impressed with him, I recommended him next day to a neighbor looking to rennovate. Will certainly hire James when we decide to proceed but I wanted to post this now and add to all his other 5 star ratings. I see now why he is rated so high!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on complexity of the project, man hours or labor and material if they are included. Most of the time, in order for clients to save money or have flexibility, we advise them, if they prefer, to buy their own materials. That way they can shop around, bargain and use a credit card if they choose to.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost I listen....I do not talk about me and how wonderful I am and how me me me me.... Is the client's point of view that it matters and is their show. I'm there to listen and help our clients make their ideas a reality and always stay on budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I personally have a degree in Mechanical Drawing/Architectural Drafting. Which it has help me in the home building process. I have also worked as a Financial Advisor for a Major Financial Company. The experience of doing complete rehabbing of homes have given me the expertise of design and color coordination.
