My makeup work is clean and many say natural although I can achieve a heavier makeup look if that is what the client likes..Many of my customers say they do not even feel like they are wearing makeup..Also I have great photos of my work and I am and honest trustworthy and reliable person to work with. I have been doing makeup for many years now and I have the experience behind me..I like my job because it is creative and I get to make people look and feel great abouth themselves..

Joanne..I am so happy that I found you on thumbtack. The makeup you did on me for my son's wedding was amazing. Thanks for the pictures you took of me also that you emailed me. Indeed I looked 10 years younger. I got so many compliments. Even my husband who doesn't like to see me wearing makeup, told me how much he liked it. My son's wedding was so emotional. I cried but the makeup stayed intact. I will definitely used your services again. Thank you again for making me look glamorous. Also the quality of your products is fantastic. Joanne did a wonderful job on makeup for daughter Sarah Duggars wedding. She is particularly good with children (we had four between the ages of 8 and 13). They were not overdone and the makeup helped them feel special for their roles in the wedding. I, as the mother of the bride, do not normally wear makeup but Joanne was able to subtly make a very big difference. Her choice of lipstick for me is now my favorite shade. Of course, the bride enjoyed the pampering. Joanne was very conscientious. She showed up and finished on time, even though we added three more faces than we had originally said would be there. We are all thankful to Joanne for a nice job.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The best thing to do is contact me for prices..Prices depend on how far I need to go for the job and how many people will be needing makeup..My prices are very reasonable considering my years of experience..they are typical for a wedding of 4 or more the brides makeup is $75 and the other ladies in the party are about $60..the price is about the same for the hairstyling..so my prices are great
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually start by emailing or texting the customer then we talk by phone usually at some point..then we will set up a trial that is convenient
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was little I used to watch all the makeover shows on TV where they would show the before and after makeup of each person and I remember saying to my mom..that is what I am gonna do someday..So after High School..I went to cosmetology school..then worked in salons dping hair but I often never let my client leave without a quick makeup touch up..I would then take before and after photos of my customers..After a while I took my little photo album into Ford Models in NYC and they loved my work and I began working with photographers and models on photo shoots..Later I did real work like for ads and magazines..
