The next question is what the project consists of or the Design Program (list of needs and wants). Item 3 would be a basic understanding of your budget. The architect or contractor can begin to flesh out basic numbers based on square foot pricing. The actual design of course would follow with revisions to the cost estimate then the construction drawings for a building permit and labor and materials cost estimate.
