Mike was awesome to work with! He quickly responded to my request to replace an existing wired floodlight with a Google Nest Cam with Floodlight on the 2nd story of the property. He was a great communicator and very responsive. He was able to quote the work based on the scope I outlined and was well-priced with quality work. He arrived within the 30-min window he provided and worked efficiently to make the installation experience seamless. He was patient as the installation required pairing with an online app and was super njce to work with. He arrived in a work van with all the necessary equipment (ladder, etc.) and was completely prepared and organized. I would highly recommend Mike for any electrical need if you are looking for a quality and seamless experience to get your project done quickly. I look forward to working with him again!

Five stars no question about it.
As a new Thumbtack user I was skeptical about using an app to find a contractor especially for something as serious as an electrical issue. But working with Flying Electron completely changed that. Mike the electrician was professional, responsive and incredibly thorough.
I had a major problem. A soaked and rusted out exterior electrical conduit was bringing water straight into the electrical meter and down into the basement. The electrical line inside was completely saturated, the neutral wire was completely frayed, and the risk of fire or shock during these recent heavy rains in Philadelphia was no joke. Mike didn’t just do a patch job. He removed the entire damaged line and conduit and installed a new one the right way.
He also discovered that a box near the basement sink wasn’t GFCI protected which is a serious safety issue and without any hassle he included the fix in the same price. On top of that he installed two new grounding wires.
He gave me an estimate the very next day after I posted the job and came back the following week to finish everything. He was on time cleaned up after the work and walked me through all the changes. You can tell when someone takes pride in what they do and Mike clearly does.
I feel a huge sense of relief knowing this issue is behind me for good. I’m beyond grateful I don’t have to worry about this again for as long as I live. Highly recommend Flying Electron to anyone dealing with serious electrical problems or just looking for someone they can actually trust.
