Essential Renovations was established in 2020. Essential Renovations is a woman-owned business who proudly serves Morris, Bergen, Essex, Middlesex, Passaic and Union counties of New Jersey. We renovate all interior areas such as attics, rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, basements, etc. of the home and, as well as, deck design builds. recently had the pleasure of working with Courtney and her team at Essential Renovations, and I couldn't be more impressed with their work. Courtney, in particular, is a standout – as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field, she exudes confidence and expertise when it comes to installing cabinets. She really knows her craft and is hands-on throughout the entire process, ensuring every detail is perfect.
Her subcontractors, Brandon and Manuel, were equally impressive. They were incredibly precise and meticulous with their work, paying attention to even the smallest details. It was clear that they take great pride in their work, and their commitment to quality shows.
Throughout the project, the entire crew was punctual, respectful of the space, and cleaned up after themselves daily. They gave me a clear timeline, estimating that the work would take a week, and they delivered on time without any issues.
For a team that's led by such a talented young woman, I can't recommend Essential Renovations enough. If you're looking for a professional, reliable, and skilled team, look no further. I would absolutely hire them again in the future!

We hired Essential Renovations to handle a major improvement of our home, finishing off a large basement as well as a complete renovation of the second floor to create a master suite. From the beginning, Courtney was an absolute pleasure to work with! She guided us through everything we needed to do to finish the basement, from fully waterproofing to finishing it off. For the master suite, she has been more than willing to accommodate every idea we’ve thrown out to her, and has made our dreams into a reality. Whenever we had questions about what was going on, she took the time to explain what was happening, and she has been able to handle every problem and unexpected hurdle that has popped up with confidence and ease. Her work is beautiful quality, and she has honestly completely changed the function of our home with the work she has done. We cannot recommend her enough if you have work you need done! No one else will be as open, honest, and understanding about your needs as her and her people!

Working with Courtney was a total dream. She was prompt, efficient and did an outstanding job on the basement work. She also did incredible due diligence on making sure things were up to code, going to talk to the borough's construction office to make sure all the work my buyers were asking for was safely in line with code. She's one of the best people I've ever worked with and it was seamless. Thank you, Courtney, for making a hard time in my life and house selling process so much easier!!

This is a long review but after over 10 years of experience with hiring contractors-I have a lot to say about my experience. Today I had the pleasure of hiring Essential Renovations to fix a damaged wall in my home, and I must say, the results were outstanding. The work exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment they arrived, their professionalism and attention to detail were evident. They took the time to assess the damage thoroughly and discuss the best approach to repair it.
Throughout the process, Courtney displayed an impressive level of skill and expertise. The precision and craftsmanship they demonstrated were truly remarkable. I have worked with dozens of designers, contractors, repair workers , and have never seen a person, treat my home better than me, didn’t think it could be done until today. Not only did they flawlessly restore the damaged wall, but they also managed to enhance its appearance, making it even better than before. See pictures attached!
The dedication to their craft was evident at every stage of the project. This solidified that I am going to use Essential Renovations for all of my repairs and remodeling . They meticulously repaired every crack and flaw, ensuring a seamless finish that blended seamlessly with the surrounding walls. The attention to detail they displayed was commendable, leaving no imperfection unattended. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to worry about the job being done right the first time, and doesn’t think anyone can have the same care for you home as you Essential renovations is for you.
Furthermore, her professionalism and communication were top-notch. They kept me informed about the progress of the work, I chose to watch the repair after being burned a few times by shoddy work, cut corners I’m a skeptic ..This repair was also for a tenants unit, and Courtney explained each step along the way. She were also respectful of my 94 year old home, ensuring that the work area was clean and tidy throughout the project. I’ve NEVER until today had no clean up after a repair. I even watched Courtney CLEAN up other dirty spots and fingerprints left by the plumber that was in beforehand. Showing a true dedication to making sure when she leaves a job it meets her expectations.
I cannot express my gratitude enough for the exceptional job done by Essential Renovations . Their expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence truly set them apart. If you are in need of any home repairs or renovations, I wholeheartedly recommend hiring this company.
They will not only meet your expectations but surpass them, leaving you with results that are nothing short of perfection. Essential renovations has a good size team of caring professionals that specialize in design, repair, restoration and remodeling. I quite literally feel like I will never have to stress about a renovation or repair again. That feeling is priceless, if I had one complaint it would be that I didn’t find them sooner!

Courtney was great to work with and has a great attitude. Her and her team refinished our laundry area and even when things didn’t go as plan, she was able to help us get to a solution and was always willing to work with our suggestions.
