In 2024, Abdul assisted me with renovations at my home in Woodbridge Township. He transformed my bi-level house into an open-concept living space by installing LVL beams and structural panels while removing load-bearing walls, all according to engineered plans and reports.
Additionally, he repaired my deck, which had been installed by another contractor and did not meet code requirements. Abdul printed out the deck regulations for Woodbridge Township and pointed out the issues with my existing deck. He made the necessary fixes, including improving the ledger attachment, adding diagonal bracing, and upgrading the stairs, stringers, and landing. He also replaced the posts from 4x4 to 6x6 inches, installed flashing, and ensured the surface was leveled and ready for staining.
The township approved the permit for the project, although I did have to pay a penalty for late filing. Thankfully, Abdul made my deck, which measures 25x25 feet, compliant with the code. I plan to hire him again for a full house renovation in October 2025.
