- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
On large projects I will often give one price, but if the customer is supplying the materials I will usually insist on hourly since I can’t account for any variables in my pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to do an informal home check up with new customers whenever possible. This is a cursory investigation of the home that intends to identify any potential safety issues or preventable component failures.
