We just bought a house and needed some work done before moving in. Between my job, a very pregnant wife, and 17 month old baby, things were very hectic, and I was unable to get to the new house in Jersey from my current home in Queens that frequently to do all the work myself. This is my first time using Thumbtack, and I was definitely apprehensive. I reached out to a few companies, but Joe was the first to respond. I told him about the projects in needed help with, and we scheduled an onsite quote. He was very professional and courteous. He gave me quotes for the various jobs, and told me he could start immediately. Since my wife is almost due, we were trying to get everything done asap, so we could move in before the due date. Joe truly is a handyman of many talents. He cleared out a crawl space that had been previously infested with rodents. We originally agreed to have him paint just a few rooms, in an effort to save money, but I ended up having him finish painting the house. He also installed new locks, which included drilling out for deadbolt installation. Joe is incredibly hard-working, meticulous, and thorough. He was willing to do so much more in my house, and he will always be honest about his capabilities, limitations, and availability. He even rescheduled other non-urgent jobs to work with our timeline. After meeting him once, I was completely comfortable with him doing the work and even letting himself into the house when I couldn’t be there. He was extremely punctual and communicative, and he gave me frequent updates about his progress. I definitely plan on using Joe again for any future projects I need help with. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased I am with his work ethic, his fair rates, his dedication, and his personality. He takes pride in his work, and he is amazing to deal with. I would give way more than 5 stars, if possible.

Joe has completed several projects in my home thus far and I have been extremely satisfied with all of them. When he came to install a new motor for my ventilation system, he was even so kind enough to clean up behind him. Most contractors tend to do the job and leave things out of place but Joe is extremely attentive. We are in the process of completely my backyard deck as well as some pavers and I cannot wait to see the final project. His professionalism is unmatched and most of all he’s very honest about giving the best quality work while catering to the consumers needs and style. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor.
