so TJ has been out to discuss what we need done, take measurements and promised a quote within a couple of days. Less than 24 hours later he has provided the quote which seems to be a fair price. Will provide an updated review once the work is complete.Aug 4, 2018Verified
TJ was professional and responsive. I assumed he would completely redo the original hack job I hired someone to do previously, which is what I actually wanted. He cleaned up the job and it looks better aesthetically, however I do t see how it was worth $200. and that was getting a break because he didn’t sandJun 11, 2018VerifiedTJ Wilson Carpentry, LLC's reply
I am sorry that you feel like the price was High. But that's industry standard. There was no need to replace the sheet rock as it was in good condition. I replaced his tape with new and put three coats on it. Structurally it's fine. And you seemed to be happy with the appearance, I am sorry the first person took you through the ringer , but my charge was fair. Also I did give you the option for me to come back and sand it, but you wanted to save the money, which I completely understand. I was just trying to be nice.
We had dry wall repair & more jobs will be scheduled soon like electric ceiling lights replacement & tile repair. Very versatile & easy to work with. Great overall experience!May 5, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We work with customers of all ranges and often get the question "how much is this going to cost?" The answer is a lot more complex than a simple number. For us here at TJ Wilson Carpentry and estimate is exactly that. It's a ballpark number, where as a price is specific and takes time to come up with. So the answer depends on your specific project and what you are looking to achieve. Sometimes there's a design fee involved to to the type of project. Our prices include things that are often overlooked at first (we are a detail oriented company). So at any point during the process ask questions or point out details that you are especially concerned about this way your price is exactly what you want.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? In most cases. Stage 1 is to get to know what customer is looking for and what their budget is. Some times a design fee is required before even going into the next few stages as with more complex projects. Meeting a budget with expectations is the second stage. Then a contract is written and review by both parties.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?JLC training 120+ hours RRP certification ( lead removal during construction certification for EPA) Member of Handyman Association of America OSI certified window and door installer
