FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I come from a long line of teachers. Throughout my corporate career, I have mentored my team members and helped them grow. In fact, my LinkedIn page has many recommendations from previous coworkers who all acknowledge me as their mentors and guides. I love to teach and I love to make a difference in people's lives. I founded my organization to be a management consultant but ended up mentoring and coaching so many people that I changed my direction. Personally, it is more satisfying and even gratifying to teach, train, mentor, coach and facilitate than it is to consult.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I help individuals plan their lives better and take the steps that will help them reach their goals I help businesses with business plans, marketing plans, management operations and process, tactics and innovative solutions.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Many consultants fall into the trap of "I have a hammer, everything that I see is a nail." In other words, they force their solution on the client whether the client needs it or not. Many consultants also claim, "This is what we have done for all our clients and they have all benefited from this process." One size does not fit everyone. The customer should ensure that the coach/trainer/consultant is actually listening to the customer and exploring all options in the customer's best interest. The day of the "One-Trick Pony" has passed.
