Music is a wonderful art form that can enhance a person's level of expression, discipline, concentration, and creativity. My goal as an instructor is to give students all the tools they need in order to enjoy, as well as benefit from music-making. A solid foundation in note-reading, the development of rhythmic and aural skills, a thorough understanding of performance terms/symbols, and the inclusion of fun improvisational/compositional activities are all part of a curriculum that I believe will broaden the student's degree of musicianship. I offer private piano lessons (out of my home) to students of all ages and levels. I teach all styles. I occasionally offer group piano classes as a means of increasing performance practice opportunities (i.e., preparing for recitals, auditions, etc.). I also offer private music theory lessons for those who are preparing for AP Theory exams, college entrance exams, and for those who simply wish to gain a thorough understanding of theory fundamentals.
