Introduction: My shows are about more than just tricks. I connect with my audience members. They are a part of the show, and an important one at that. Unlike some other magicians who may just want to dazzle you with their skill, or puzzle you with illusions, I believe it is far more important to leave you smiling and entertained. I use magic as a tool with which to tell stories and bring the audience into that experience along with myself. Magic is about laughter; magic is about creating memories and creating moments. Magic is about much more than tricks. Magic is about connecting with people and having a great time, and that's what Bersteker, The Magic Man is all about! I get to create special moments for people that they'll remember forever. I get to be a part of birthdays and graduations and company events! These are all very special events that, for those involved, are once in a lifetime moments..and I'm fortunate enough to be included in them! I get to make people smile for a living...what's not to love?

Josh will probably get a lot of reviews for his performing abilities as he should, but I wanted to put a review in for his ability to give magic instruction for your camp, school, or private lesson. Josh is a wonderful instructor. I hired Josh to be the magic instructor for Jersey Shore Magic on the Ocean City Boardwalk for the summer of 2014. This meant he spent literally 10 hours a day not only performing magic to adults and children, but teaching them how to perform the tricks themselves. People came back every day to see Josh. We couldn't even have our meetings on the boardwalk anymore because people kept running up to see their favorite performer and instructor. But it was more than just loving him, they actually became performers! More than once there would be a new performer on the boardwalk showcasing their talent (and making tips I should add), just from what they learned and practiced from Josh. Oh and I'm not just talking kids here. He has taken professional magicians to the next level not only teaching them new advanced sleight of hand with everyday objects, but works with them on show structure, pacing, timing, etc. Hire Josh for your next magic performer AND magic instructor. Joshua performed his exciting and vibrant style of magic at our annual fund raiser and he has such a sophisticated and charming manner. He can stun and amaze you with a surprising range of magic and mentalism while only being inches away from you. We will definitely use him again!

Josh The Magic Man helped me in 2013 entertain a party i was holding. It was a 4 hour event and, a celebration. Josh's magic truely set off that experience. He was professional, polite, and easily mingled with the crowd. His mastery of tricks and ability to slide from conversation to his amazing feats was quite impressive. It left the party light and everyone had stories of bafflement at his tricks. Completely satisfied.

Josh is an amazing and captivating magician. I've seen a bunch of his shows at festivals and have never been disappointed. His way of making the magic come to life as well as adding a bit of comedic flair from time to time is amazing and his ability to interact with his audience and volunteers is wonderful.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always studying new techniques, new illusions, and updating my material. I always strive to deliver the best to my clients, and to deliver the best, you must constantly strive to BE the best! I attend conventions and lectures throughout the country every year to keep up to date on the latest and greatest in magic!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a love for making people laugh and smile. I grew up watching yearly magic specials on TV with David Copperfield, and thought how wonderful it'd be to become a magician, too! , I spent many years in many jobs, trying to find out what I was "good at", until I tried performing and found that my passion and my calling were one and the same! I have never felt more like myself than when I'm performing!
