Mike and his father did a great job on a punch list of items I requested. The bathroom remodel looks excellent. Very easy to work with and super friendly. Would recommend.

We absolutely made the right choice by hiring AJH Builders for our bathroom renovation. We were new to the area and needed to renovate a bathroom in our new home so my disabled veteran dad could move in with us ASAP. Mike from AJH was immediately in contact with me after I put the request on Thumbtack. He and his father came out to my home for an estimate within two days of us speaking. The estimate was detailed and fair and we were very collaborative in the process. They understood what we needed for dad to safely maintain his independence and they were very aware of the time crunch because we couldn't move him in until the bathroom was completed.
We trusted the guys in our home without us home and they kept us updated on the project daily. We also asked them to do some additional work that wasn't originally in the agreement and they completed it with great workmanship and without any additional delay. The final product was beautiful and we were able to move my dad in immediately. The final price was very close to what we agreed on in the estimate and anything additional was due to our changes, not theirs. The guys also worked with us to find an electrician to do some separate work in other rooms and we were very happy with his work as well. We are already planning our next house projects and will be calling AJH Builders as soon as we are ready.

Andy and Mike were great work with and we enjoyed having them in our home. They were neat, hardworking and got things done pretty much much on schedule. Along the way they paid a lot of attention to all the details that helped make our new kitchen everything we hoped for. I would recommend them without hesitation.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each and every project is completely different so each project has it's own unique price which requires a site visit to get all of the correct information to generate the most accurate price. We strive to give the customer an all inclusive estimate to eliminate the possibilities of extras to the project whereas other contractors submit low upfront prices knowing they will be locked into the project and can charge a high amount of extras to complete the project. We can only provide an hourly rate for labor on this website without a proper site visit.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process we follow when working with new clients usually starts off with a friendly phone conversation so we can get the basic information on the project at hand and to also set up a meeting time that works best for the customer. We then have the meeting at the project site to meet the new client as well as gather all of the information needed to provide an accurate estimate. A few short days later, we will e-mail an estimate to the client and then follow up with a phone call to see if we should proceed to adding the project to our schedule. After we select a start date that works best for the customer, work will begin and be completed as discussed in the agreement. We want the client involved every step of the way so they are aware of the progress and they may also learn something along the way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In our crew, we have a member that is heavily educated in architecture and structural design. Also, over the 29 years of experience we have seen it all as they say.
