FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For art lessons I charge by the hour or 1/2 hour. For art commissions it's typically per image, which depends on the size & complexity of the artwork needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to do a quick phone consult 1st to get to know the client & their art needs, then continue communication via email & phone (or in person if they are local). I ask for any reference materials & info I'll need for art & design commissions. For art students I like to know the styles & media they'd like to focus on so I can gear the lessons especially for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was graduated with a BFA in painting & illustration (with design & photography courses) from Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers) in 1988 & have design & art certificates from courses at Parsons (NYC) & DuCret Art School (NJ). I am currently utilizing Photoshop & taking Illustrator tutorials and am always honing my drawing, painting and photography skills.
