I am super impressed with the professionalism of Hammer Exteriors . I had to get part of a fascia fixed which is when I connected with Hammer Exteriors . What made me opt for them over others is the responsive and in my conversation I felt (was also hoping) confident that they are better . Rob informed me about who will be at my place and per commitment Manny showed up to fix the issue. He fixed the issue . Clean work and handled the issue the same day. He was also gracious enough to help be flip my trampoline which was overturned due to strong winds . Great guy ! Would definitely recommend these folks for any project .

If you embark on a major home improvement project, it pays to go with a skilled contractor who knows their trade and gives the best advice. You’ll sleep better at night. I was tempted to spend several thousand less, but my gut kept telling me, “no”. So, I listened, and went with Hammer Exteriors because Rob saw details that other contractors either ignored or missed. One advised me that my gutters and soffits didn’t need to be replaced. I asked Rob his opinion and he suggested that they were fine with the existing covering because everything had aged at the same rate. But he advised that I’d notice them against brand new siding. Hmm… I thought about that.
Rob asked if I wanted to keep an old lighting fixture affixed to the house that had been used to light the backyard but hadn’t been used in years. Another detail no other contractor asked about. “You’ll want to take down the air conditioner bracket but you can put it back after.” Rob said. “What about the shutters?” Rob asked. No other contractor raised any of these considerations at all. It made me wonder what the other contractors were looking at and if they were going to do a shoddy work-around job. I wasn’t looking at those details because I was thinking about the broader aesthetics, like how the color will match my roof shingles. The contractor, on the other hand, should be looking at all aspects of how to complete the install the right way and what objects might be standing in the way. The contractor is the expert we rely on to be our eyes into how to make the aesthetics work. Rob did that. That’s why I chose him. Turned out to be a wise decision. Rob was responsive throughout the project. He estimated that the job would take a week and he let me know ahead of time when to expect delivery of the materials, the dumpster, and his crew. The materials were delivered when he said, the dumpster was delivered when he said and his crew showed up exactly when he said they would. Consistency throughout every phase. The crew was very polite and respectful, workers you want on your property. When they arrived, they sized up the scope of the job and went right to work. They hammered continuously until lunchtime, then picked up again right after and kept on going until an hour past sundown. Non-stop. They were fast, efficient and committed. Same for the crew that installed the gutters.
The only aspect of the project that didn’t conform to the estimate was the completion date of one week because the crew shortened that. The siding install started on Monday and finished on Wednesday. The gutters were installed on Thursday morning and the dumpster was picked up the same morning. I couldn’t believe all that work was done in only 3 days on 2,176 square feet of house, including ripping out existing soffits and gutters, installing new insulation all around and then installing new siding. Precisely. And neatly. And it was cold outside; temps in the 20s the whole time.
The only item I needed to address was the trim on my exterior door. The paint was severely chipped. I came home on Wednesday and Rob asked if I noticed anything about my door. My eyes popped. Rob bought paint and asked his crew to paint the trim around my door. I was so thankful. I’d had a hard time finding a painter to come handle such a small job for a professional painter. Rob cared how the total project looked, so he went out of his way to do something he didn’t have to do.
The siding installation crew, gutter install crew and the dumpster company cleaned up behind themselves. A major work site was left in pristine condition. My home looks beautiful. The details are magnificent. I love how they worked around the fire escape, which couldn’t be removed, and the way they capped the external lighting. The experience was the best. In the end, I received excellence from start to finish. So, if you want the comfort of working with a skilled and knowledgeable tradesman who knows how to assemble great work crews who are respectful of your property, then Rob is that person. This was a great experience.

For our most recent house project we wanted new siding. While getting quotes from multiple contractors, we ended up choosing Hammer
Exteriors because we felt that they were the most fair, transparent, and reliable. Rob, the owner, and his crew were amazing. Rob was very knowledgeable about his craft and explained the pros and cons of doing the siding multiple ways. He had an answer to any question I asked and was willing to work with us on whatever request we had. His crew got the job done quickly and professionally.
Rob was very particular to every detail to make sure it was done right. He was also very communicative throughout the project. For our siding project, we decide to do a complete tear away of the old cedar siding and install new vinyl siding. The whole project, including new gutters, fascia, soffits, and shutters took under a week to complete. The best part, unlike what other contractors I’ve seen do, is that Rob didn’t start until all the materials were in. We didn’t want our house to not have siding for who knows how long before they were ready to install. He stayed true to his word and did just that. As soon as the materials came in, he started working, the crew showed up, did their job professionally, and it was done in under a week.
This was the easiest and best experience I had with a contractor for a big project since owning a home. I would highly recommend Rob and Hammer Exteriors to anyone looking to get a fair price and a fantastic outcome on their home project. Rob cares about his work and it shows.

They have literally transformed my house and made it into the vision I have always wanted. When Rob initially came to my home, he explained in great detail in how the roof and siding would be installed. He showed up to my home each day to keep me up to date on the progress of the work. We recently used Rob Kurzner of Hammer Exteriors to install a new roof, siding and gutters on our home. We have nothing but high praise for Rob.
Before we commenced work, we interviewed several contractors. During this process, Rob was diligent, timely and responsive. His price was very competitive.
After we retained Rob, he excelled at ushering us through the entire process. Before the work started he told us what to expect during the installation process, the debris, the proper placement of dumpsters in the driveway, the noise and the duration of the project and any possible hiccups we might encounter. There are no surprises with Rob.
Rob didn’t just sell us the job and leave. When work commenced he was on site every day to make sure work was progressing on schedule and to assist in the inevitable decisions that come up during any construction project. He also monitored the workers very closely and was quick to point out and remedy any issues he did not approve of along the way. If there was any minor incidental unforeseeable damage Rob had it repaired immediately.
Rob is a true professional not to mention an all-around good guy. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Rob for any of your exterior contracting needs!
