Introduction
Premier events venue in beautiful Stone Harbor, New Jersey, since 2012 We specialize in handcrafted pasta and fresh fish. In the kitchen we pay strong attention to details and use the freshest local ingredients. Spiaggetta, our namesake, means "little beach" in Italian. When you're here, it sure feels like you're on a little beach in Italy though. We go through great lengths to ensure an authentic experience, from hand making our own pastas, to sticking to traditional Italian kitchen rules when we source only the best, freshest local ingredients for their flavor. The Tarantino family excitedly welcomes you to see what real Italian food and hospitality is like, and invites you to spend a night in their dining room in the same way a close friend would host a dinner party. We'll expertly prepare delicious Branzino or serve our handmade gnocchi as if we were trying to impress our mothers. I visited Spiagetta for the first time in August, and it was a great dining experience. We made a reservation on Open Table, highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as this restaurant is very busy during peak summer season. There is a small parking lot right behind the restaurant, which is great, (parking can be hard to find in Stone Harbor during busy summer.)We started with Calamari & the Caprese - the Caprese was to die for. Hands down the best mozzarella cheese, Ive ever had! The bread they give you waiting for your meal is hot & fresh, too.Meals we had the Gnocchi, Alfredo, and the Papalina - all extremely good! The pink sauce with the Papalina was delicious. All the food was hot and fresh - definitely know it is handmade fresh pasta. We just returned back to Spiagetta September 4, 2018 (day after Labor Day,) and it was definitely less crowded. We still made a reservation for 5:30, to be on the safe side, since we never visited post-Labor day, and we definitely didnt need one. We had the Vongole & the Tortellini special (which had the pink sauce,) and again the food and service was great. Highly recommend & cant wait to visit again during the 2019 season!
