Previous to starting KM Consulting, he built businesses from the ground up, and achieved significant commercial success. He developed, and maximized, global and domestic distribution channels. He also learned how to combine his strategic and creative vision into a leadership process, which served to grow his companies, delivering consistent results in: operations, financial, sales/marketing and client relationship management. What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I love helping identify problems for companies and working closely with them to conquer these challenges and succeed.     We’ve all been there – no matter what type of company we have. Our staff and perhaps our Board of Directors have looked at an issue and seem to come up with the same ineffectual answer. We’re at a standstill. Being immersed in a specific industry has its advantages, but can also lead to blindness for new approaches and answers. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As our company culture is one of assisting people and companies succeed, our services are personalized. In order to provide our quotations to customers, we meet on a no-cost, no-obligation basis to assess the situation and determine what is required. Then, and only then, can we offer our firm quotation for our customers to evaluate.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet for a no-cost, no-obligation meeting to assess the needs of our potential customers. We look to see if we are a fit. We then provide a quotation for our services and set up a program to achieve the goals that each customer requires. We work on a pay by service program. If you are not receiving value, you can terminate at any time with no further payments due.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an MBA in International Business and Marketing. I have BA degrees in Psychology and Sociology, so I understand human behavior. I have advanced training in Business Management and am certified as a DISC and Motivators Analyst; Tri-Metrics Certified Analyst; and Facilitator and Strategic Planning Certified. I also am an Adjunct Professor of Business at SUNY Rockland and SUNY Cobleskill (teaching Advertising, Marketing, International Marketing, International Business, Ethics, Diversity in Business, Entrepreneurship and Internship Faculty Advisor).
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have run entrepreneurial businesses for over 30 years in both manufacturing and service industries, in the United States and internationally. I have also coached numerous sports teams and decided to "marry" these two occupations into one company.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with small to mid sized companies in a variety of industries. We are industry agnostic (that is, that we work in all industries). We also work with individuals that are in the process of changing careers or just out of school and looking for their first job.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Define what are you looking to accomplish. Have goals. State why you are in business. If you started your business again today, would you have the same people doing the same jobs?
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What do they really want to accomplish and are they fully committed to undertaking the changes that they really will need to do to reach these commitments?
