Notary Record Verification / Certification Policy
In the event that previously notarized documents become contested, and a request is made for the Notary to complete, sign, or certify any affidavit, certification, or verification form regarding the notarization:
• A $100 administrative fee will apply for the Notary’s time, review, and completion of such documentation.
• Payment must be received in full prior to any review or completion of requested forms.
• All requests must be formally submitted and legally required (e.g., court-issued or attorney-requested documentation).
The Notary Public’s role is limited to verifying identity and witnessing signatures in accordance with New Jersey notarial law. The Notary does not provide legal advice, opinions, or interpretations regarding any document.
The Notary reserves the absolute right to decline participation in any post-notarization matter, certification, or statement at their sole discretion, particularly if the request is deemed outside the scope of notarial duties or not legally appropriate. The Notary is under no obligation to complete or sign any additional documentation beyond the original notarization.
