My honest opinion is that if they open their store more than 3 days a week, their business would be a lot better and give them an opportunity to take off.The staff is very friendly.The food is okay. Its not all that, Ive had much better. I tried the stewed chicken (was not crazy about it at all) it had way to many bones in it..The mac & cheese was okay, a little salty & garlicky. I've had the brisket..kind of bland, not much flavor and they were very chintzy with it. Their cole slaw was not good at all. It was basically shredded cabbage with mayo..THATS IT..No flavor, no sugar, raisins, carrots..nothing..Their overall menu did not have much to choose from and the prices are extremely overpriced.Would I eat there again, probably. In general, their restaurant game needs to be stepped up a bit if they want to succeed, especially in a area where you have a lot of competition and being next door to 2 other restaurants, whose food is very good.I understand being sort of new on the block, but they have had plenty of time to get their act together if they expect to make it in Teaneck.

My Belizean Gourmet catered my wedding on October 4, 2014. Having the food catered by My Belizean Gourmet was one of the best decision wedding decisions I made. Most places in Teaneck have only caribbean food or only soul food and I wanted to have the both styles of food for my wedding. My Belizean Gourmet fit exactly what I was looking for. From the time I walked through the door I knew that My Belizean Gourmet would be my wedding caterer. Tara is such a sweetheart and was very accommodating even when the guest list went from an estimate of 175 wedding guests to a final count of 259 wedding guests. My wedding menu consisted of stew goat, grilled chicken, barbecue chicken, baked salmon with a thai chili sauce, baked macaroni and cheese, rice and beans, yellow rice, collard greens with smoked turkey, and mixed vegetables. My husband and I had a tasting of the food and everything was immaculate. The grilled chicken, stew goat, and rice and beans had great flavor. In general, I do not like barbecue chicken but even that was really good. The collard greens and mixed vegetables were well-seasoned and the yellow rice was well-cooked. The salmon was the talk of our wedding menu (which was my favorite also). All of our guests loved the food and are still talking about the salmon to this day! We've also had a few of our guests use My Belizean Gourmet for their own events after the wedding.

OMG, I HAD THEIR FOOD YESTERDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME AND I HAVEN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT THOSE DARN SHRIMPS SINCE. My family and I are from Brooklyn, N.Y., but we came to Teaneck, NJ, to visit a family who was at Holy Name Med. Cur. We were hungry so we looked up nearest area and came upon this establishment. Let me explain, from the menu pictures, alone, our mouths started to water. So we sped down there where my family ordered 2 meals, l was not hungry so I said I pass. They ordered the...Red Snapper w Mac cheese and kale second order.....fr. chicken wings, Mac and cheese, Kale. OMG, they give a great amount, food is totally fresh and the taste, divine. Now after they finished their meals, we ordered to go....2 more orders of Red Snapper, Mac and cheese w Kale. IIIIIIIIII was not going to miss this round, so i ordered.....Fried Shrimps, Sweet Potatoe fries w Kale.Well people, when I opened up my container at home, I was in heaven. 14, yes I said 14 large fried SHRIMPS, delicious sweet Potatoe fries w Kale, ketchup and mayo ketchup. OMG, it was awesomely delicious and I haven't been able to stop thinking about that food. God bless the hands that prepare that food. I will end this review w this, we are going to make it our business to get there again, and I'm bringing home more than one dish!!!!!!! My family and I are in

I have been using MBG Catering services for several years now and could not be more pleased with both the quality of the food as well as Taras consistent level of professionalism. She has catered my large events (75 pple) and even my smaller events (8 pple). I employ her services multiple times a year for bbqs, school events, holidays, birthdays and so much more! Tara goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect and this summer even drove to the Hamptons to deliver food for my event because I simply trusted no one else but her to cater. Her food is beyond delicious and my friends and family continue to confirm just how talented and amazing she is! She simply does not disappoint!!
