Fairly new homeowner. Air wasn’t getting cool when turned on. Company was responsive and came out right away. The tech explained the issue in short as no refrigerant and a loose valve. Was told my older unit takes refrigerant that’s no longer being sold in the US and more expensive. Was charged about $225 per the 6 lbs I was told I needed. Definitely seemed on the pricier end of the spectrum per our research but what are you going to do? I will say the tech literally worked through a rain storm to repair my system and didn’t complain. Paid about 1450 ish for the job. Wasn’t a fan of the non specific invoice labeled "miscellaneous" especially when you want to keep records of repairs. My fiancé did reach out a few times to the owner and he was responsive and adjusted the invoice. It was much better although it didn’t specify the "6 lbs" of refrigerant I was told I paid for. All and all the system is functioning; for how long I don’t know. Praying it was worth the money.
