Joe and the team did an amazing and professional job installing a brand new 12 zone sprinkler system, along with the added touch of some amazing outdoor lighting features in both the back and front of the house, giving the place that lush green lawn, my kids the experience to run around in the sprinklers in the summer, and a awesome party feel night. I have and will continue to recommend Apollo and Joe to anyone looking to spruce up their yard with this true professional. His value compared to others is a bit higher, but you get what you pay for. They know what they’re doing and know how to make their customers happy.

STAY AWAY! DO NOT HIRE! Classic bait and switch and has been ignoring me for weeks and refusing to come back and finish the work. Told me on the phone that a new Backflow is ~$450 and that he would give me the full price before starting work, and if I agreed with the price then he would start the work. Instead, he wasted 45 minutes trying to find the right waterline valve which is the same valve that I told him it was and that a different company found in 2 minutes. Then just started doing the work without telling me the price. After finishing, he knocks on my door and tells me it's $2350!!!! I told him I would never have hired him if I knew it was $2350 and I got a cheaper price from others. He then took off $500 in junk fees (trucking fees and delivery fees) and charged me $1850 and was supposed to come back and turn my system and do more work. He has ignored me ever since and my system is still not on to this day.

Spent the day waiting for the pro for an estimate, and he didn’t call until the previous day. Explained that he had other jobs and couldn’t get to me. A picture of the damaged backflow was provided with detail of what was happening to it. Joe Emmolo mentioned that he would check the price of the part and get back to me. It has been about 5 days, the company has not gotten back to me.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Be wary of any contractors who quote you a flat amount per zone.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all begins with an on-site visit at your home or place of business with a walk and measurement of your property, of view and location of your water meter, and a discussion of any must haves that you are aware of and anything in particular you are looking for. All estimates are free of charge. I do not quote prices for ballpark figures without first seeing your property. I would recommend that any contractor who quotes you a price without visiting your property truly does not know what they are getting themselves into because even small issues such as soil conditions current grass type all factor into play.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m educated at Seton Hall University with an undergraduate degree in finance and accounting. I also have additional studies at Rutgers School of Turf, and 30 years of experience in both residential and commercial irrigation and outdoor lighting design.
