Step1 - What to ExpectRemodeling network assigns to you an expert sales consultant type individual that assists with catalyzing and putting action to your ideas. Our individual assigned was Ed. Ed is an expert at his craft. He helps you take an idea and discuss through the different ingredients while physically walking through them in your home or project area to assist in formulating the concepts. For an expert this is not always required and often may be a waste of time, however, for someone who doesnt live and breathe remodeling projects someone with enough patience and consultive approach is needed. My wife and I built confidence with Ed. I am a tactical builder type who has dabbled in advanced DIY; My wife is more of a i want this, make it happen for cheap. Ed stays with you through the whole process and execution. After the initial consult, Ed has a draftsman build concept drawings - you pay for these - a must to control risk on the program and keep your costs in check. The next visit is a review of the drawings. Following that you will receive estimates from Ed - he aggregates everything including your own contractors if you require it. We had one fro some custom work we thought the original contractor may be the best to continue with. Once you are done with negotiation you sign, place deposit and execution begins with applying for permits variances etc.I will continue to post updates to our story as we move along. Stay tuned. So far stellar experience!

I had the pleasure of attending Remodeling Network's first seminar and I was blown away. Ed was so prepared and left no stones unturned.
