About
We're a licensed moving company based in Union City, New Jersey — and
we're a carrier, not a broker. That matters more than it sounds. A lot
of moving quotes come from brokers who sell your job on to whoever bids
lowest, and you meet that crew for the first time on moving day. With
us, the crew that loads your home and the truck it travels in are ours.
We handle local moves across New Jersey and the surrounding area, and
long-distance moves anywhere in the lower 48. Homes, apartments,
offices, retail and hospitality spaces. Packing and unpacking if you
want it, and specialty items like pianos and pool tables.
Local moves are priced hourly with the crew sized to the job.
Long-distance moves are priced on volume and distance. Either way, once
we've gone through what you're moving we'll give you a binding
estimate — the price you're quoted is the price you pay, as long as the
shipment matches what we based it on. If something gets added later, you
get a revised written estimate to sign before anything goes on the
truck. No surprises at the door.
Blanket wrapping, disassembling and reassembling standard furniture, and
elevator use at both ends are included. So is one flight of stairs at
each end. If you need storage, thirty days with free re-delivery is
included when you ask at booking.
Licensed and insured. USDOT 9504027, MC 84287205 — worth looking up,
ours or anyone else's.

There were a number of cartons of books, clothes, kitchenware and personal items. Packing was tidy and everything was arranged so that it will be easier to unpack. Great experience overall!

On the same morning that we moved, I had a work deadline. I gave the team the room and layout labels and remained on calls throughout the day. They packed and loaded silently, use text to communicate on key decisions, and carried out all processes without supervision. I will use them again on all my future moves!

They moved to 2 cities and asked for full move services. We packed up all that in one day and were on the road away from home! Loved their efficiency! The movers were punctual and efficient.

During a heavy rain, I had to evacuate a third floor walk-up apartment. The crew was ready with heavy duty plastic wrap and moving blankets as soon as they arrived, covering each piece of furniture before they began to move it down the stairs. My fabric sofa and wooden tables were dry when I arrived and the entire move was finished in less than a three hour period.

They are highly recommended by us for their moving services! The team got the job done well and we didn't scratch a single section in moving the bulky sectional. We're very pleased!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Local moves within one state are priced hourly — $75 per worker per
hour, with the crew sized to the shipment. Long-distance moves crossing
a state line are priced on volume and distance from our filed tariff.
Our full fee schedule is published on our website. Stairs, long carry,
shuttle, bulky items, packing materials — all of it, in writing, before
you book. One flight of stairs at each end is free, and so is elevator
use at both ends; additional flights are $75 each.
A 10% discount applies when we've been through your inventory and can
issue a binding estimate. That means the price you're quoted is the
price you pay, as long as the shipment matches what it was based on. If
you add items later, you get a revised written estimate to sign before
anything goes on the truck.
Payment is 30% to reserve your date, 35% at pickup and the balance on
delivery. Card payments carry a 7% processing fee except the deposit;
cash, money order, Zelle, Venmo and CashApp carry none.
Thirty days of storage with free re-delivery is included if you ask at
booking.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we get you a rough number quickly, from your home size and where
you're going. That takes a minute and tells you whether we're in your
range at all.
If you want a firm price, we go through your inventory — room by room,
by text, chat or phone, whichever suits you. Ten minutes, usually. That
gets you a binding estimate and the 10% discount.
To book, a 30% deposit reserves your date. Three to six days before the
move, a coordinator goes through your inventory and services one final
time so nothing is a surprise on the day. Your bill of lading is sent
for signature at least three days ahead.
The day before pickup we confirm your arrival window by text, and the
driver calls about an hour before arriving.
After delivery we ask how it went. We'd rather hear about a problem
than not.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked in moving for 15 years, starting as helper before
founding Waterfront Van Lines. Our operating authority is federally
licensed — USDOT 9504027, MC 84287205 — which means meeting FMCSA requirements on insurance, safety and consumer protection. Every crew member is trained on wrapping and load securing before working a job unsupervised.
