FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is set according to my many years of education, experience, certifications, and credentials. I have been to school specifically for dog behavior and am not simply self-taught, like many other training companies. The years of education allow me to modify dog's behavior in ways that others have not been able to. I help YOU to understand what is going on with your dog and how to best help them. I am running a sale currently! You don't need to spend thousands of dollars for quality training. I am very qualified AND affordable. My pricing is discounted for a larger package purchased upfront, so a single session is $145. A package of 6 in-home sessions is $735 and a package of 3 in-home sessions is $405. I also offer specialized packages for fear and anxiety. Every package comes with a detailed follow-up report after EVERY session, lifetime phone/text/email support (I'll be your personal Google for the dog's life). Due to high demand, a single session non-refundable deposit of $145 is required to confirm your first appointment. I am very proud of my education and certifications and you know that you are getting the best when you choose to work with me. When you work with me, you will get exactly what many clients have received and continue to rave about-effective, humane, and fun dog training and behavior modification and top notch customer service. I won't work with you and then never stay in touch. Once a client, always a client and I will always be here to answer your questions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is VERY easy to get started with me. Some simple forms are filled out prior, so I don't waste your time/money at the first appointment. Once forms and payment are submitted, we are good to go and training can begin.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with dogs for over 15 years. I have taught many owners how to fully enjoy their relationships with their dogs and how to be more fulfilled as dog owners. In 2016, I was named one of the first worldwide 27 Accredited Professionals to earn the title of PCT-A (Professional Canine Trainer-Accredited) through the Pet Professional Accreditation Board (PPAB). I am a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) and I did my main studies at The Academy for Dog Trainers based in California. There, I learned the ins and outs of dog behavior and behavior modification. I am devoted to continuing education and in spite of my experience, I continue my education by attending seminars, workshops, and conferences. I have worked at various animal shelters and continue to attend seminars and workshops around the country. I am a member of the professional organizations APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and was a regular Dog Training Columnist for the Pet Professional Guild’s quarterly journal “Barks From The Guild”. My book which is a must for any dog owner, “Dogs Are People Too” was released in 2016 and is available on Amazon. In December 2016, “Dogs Are People Too” was nominated for the prestigious Dog Writer’s Association Of America 2016 Annual Writing Competition.
