FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Weâre not the cheapest, nor do we aim to be. Weâre who you call when you want things done right. Assured Logistics Group provides clear, written estimates based on the details of your move. Pricing may vary based on team size, move scope, transportation requirements, inventory, access conditions, date, availability and other service requirements. Service Minimums ⢠Qualifying labor-only moves with 2â3 movers may have a 2-hour minimum. ⢠Moves requiring 4 or more movers generally require a minimum of 3 hours. ⢠Moves requiring Assured transportation generally require a minimum of 3 hours. ⢠Time beyond the applicable minimum is billed in 30-minute increments. Billable time begins when our team arrives at the service location and begins work. Time ends after final placement is completed and Assuredâs tools, equipment and applicable service debris have been removed from the home or service location. Payment Pricing quoted as a cash price reflects a 5% cash discount. If payment is made using an approved electronic payment method such as Zelle or Venmo, the regular non-discounted price applies. A deposit is required to reserve your service date and resources. Deposits are nonrefundable and are applied directly to your final moving bill. If your moving date needs to change, your deposit may be transferred to a new requested date, subject to availability. The final balance is due upon delivery prior to unloading. For moves performed across multiple days, payment is due at the end of each service day. Cash, Zelle and Venmo are accepted for residential final balances. Credit cards may be used for deposits. Additional payment arrangements may apply to qualifying commercial services. Please review our complete Terms & Conditions below before booking. ASSURED LOGISTICS GROUP â TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. Estimate & Scope of Work All estimates are based on information supplied by the customer regarding inventory, packing requirements, access conditions, origin and destination locations, stairs, elevators, walking distance, additional stops, specialty items and other relevant move conditions. Final pricing may be adjusted if actual job conditions materially differ from what was described when the estimate was prepared. Failure to disclose significant or unusual conditionsâincluding hazardous conditions, excessive inventory, difficult access, specialty items, unusually long carries or other material scope changesâmay result in additional time, resources, pricing adjustments or cancellation of service when the work cannot be performed safely or reasonably. 2. Service Area Assured Logistics Group primarily provides moving and logistics services within New Jersey. Assured does not provide moving services to or from New York. 3. Service Minimums & Billing Qualifying labor-only services utilizing 2â3 movers may have a 2-hour minimum. Services utilizing 4 or more movers generally require a minimum of 3 hours. Cancellation & Rescheduling Customers should provide at least 48 hoursâ notice when cancelling or rescheduling a move. Cancellations with less than 24 hoursâ notice may be subject to the applicable 2-hour service minimum. Additional inventory, packing needs, stops, stairs, elevators, long carries, specialty items, access issues, waiting time or other material changes may increase the amount of time, personnel, equipment or resources required. If the disclosed scope materially understates the work required, Assured may recommend or require additional movers or equipment. Whenever reasonably practicable, material pricing or resource changes will be communicated to the customer before the additional work or expense is incurred. 8. Assured vehicles will not be driven onto grass, lawns, unsafe surfaces, excessively steep grades or other areas that may reasonably create a risk of injury, vehicle damage or property damage. Delays caused by unavailable or inadequate access remain billable service time. 9. Additional charges may apply depending on the buildingâs requirements and the complexity of the requested certificate or insurance documentation. 11. Packing Materials & Moving Supplies For traditional local moving services utilizing Assured transportation, standard materials used to protect furniture and the homeâincluding moving blankets, shrink wrap, tape and protective cardboardâare generally included unless otherwise stated in the written estimate. For labor-only services, consumable materials such as shrink wrap, tape or other supplies may be separately charged when required. Packing boxes, specialty packing materials, mattress bags and other consumable products may also be separately priced depending on the service scope. The written estimate governs what materials are included for a particular job. 16. Assured cannot inspect the internal condition or packing quality of sealed customer-packed containers. Any visible concerns identified by the team may be brought to the customerâs attention before handling. 17. Assured may decline assembly or movement when furniture appears unstable, damaged or unsafe. 18. Packing-Only / Loading-Only Services When Assured provides packing-only or loading-only service and does not perform transportation, Assuredâs custody and control of the customerâs goods ends when the contracted packing or loading service is completed. Assured cannot control how another person, carrier or customer subsequently transports, handles or unloads the goods. Therefore, damage occurring after Assuredâs contracted service has been completed and the goods have left Assuredâs custody is outside the scope of Assuredâs service. 19. Children & Pets For everyoneâs safety, children and pets must remain outside active moving and working areas while Assured is performing service. 20. Customer Presence The customer or an authorized representative should remain available during the move and should participate in the final walkthrough or service completion review. 21. Work requiring additional time may be continued on another agreed service day. 22. Debris & Material Removal Routine debris generated directly by Assured while performing the contracted moving serviceâsuch as used tape, shrink-wrap remnants or similar minor service materialsâmay be removed as part of normal job cleanup. Removal of moving boxes, packing paper, customer-generated debris or significant volumes of packing materials is not automatically included. For larger moves, unpacking services or higher-volume debris, removal and disposal may require advance approval and an additional charge. Any included debris-removal service will be reflected in the service scope when applicable. 23. Valuation Assuredâs standard moving valuation is $0.60 per pound per article. Additional full-value protection options are available upon request. 24. Loss or Damage Reporting Customers should inspect their belongings and property at service completion whenever reasonably possible. Any loss or damage concern should be reported to Assured in writing as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours, via email. 25. Terms Governing the Service The customerâs written estimate, agreed service scope and these Terms & Conditions should be read together. If job conditions differ materially from those disclosed before booking, Assured may adjust staffing, equipment, estimated duration or pricing as reasonably required to perform the service safely and appropriately. By booking service and providing the required deposit, the customer acknowledges the applicable estimate, service scope and Assured Logistics Group Terms & Conditions.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally speaking, potential customers are first introduced to our company via referral or our website. That leads to a brief exchange of messages to setup a phone call or in-person meeting. Once weâve helper answer any questions, we then move forward with providing an estimate. If the estimate is agreeable, weâll look to reserve an available date for the move. We then stay in regular contact with the customer leading up to the move date, ensuring weâre able to help accommodate any move-related challenges/changes that they may have. On the day of the move, the foremen will introduce himself and the team, prior to doing a walk-through of the home with the customer. During the move, our foremen will also check in regularly to ask how weâre doing to ensure weâre meeting the customerâs expectations. Once the move is completed, weâll ensure the job site is left clean and free of all moving debris. Weâll then reach out immediately following the move to ensure we met, and hopefully exceeded, the customerâs expectations.
