Teach 2 Teach is a unique company that provides high-quality music lessons structured around the students' goals - not designed with an agenda or strict curriculum in mind. Teachers identify the student's purpose in taking lessons and plan each lesson with that purpose in mind, taking into account the styles and genres of music their students are interested in. Each teacher is motivated to cultivate a love of music in their students, and it really shows through the fun, encouraging lessons they hold together. We believe that true mastery is displayed when students can "teach back" to the teacher key concepts they have learned. Throughout a lesson, a teacher may ask the student to demonstrate the musical technique that was just taught to them, and explain it as if the teacher were the student. This helps build confidence and true understanding in our students. If desired, students can even graduate from the T2T program to become teachers themselves! We are on the forefront of the internet music lessons movement, implementing both webcam lessons and online video courses. We also hold regular recitals, both live on stage and digitally through video recitals. The most enjoyable thing about working at Teach 2 Teach is seeing the progress our students make. Understanding concepts of scales, chords, rhythm, and notation is not an easy feat, but our teachers make learning fun, interesting, and achievable. We can see the difference week-to-week in our students' abilities, and that is very rewarding to us and our teachers. We have regular recitals both live on stage and through online videos, and we love to see our students' progress, and have them show it off for their friends and families!
